A week flies by!

Holy Cow!
It's been a week!

Well let's see, all last week went well with Caden's stitch and our normal life of swimming, tennis, and such. Friday night I went out with my friend's Rena, Amy, Monica, and Marcie. We tried a new place called Cork. It is small food on large presentation plates. Definitely art and holy smokes absolutely amazing food. We tried so many different things, since it was all small courses, not really intended for sharing but we broke the rules ;-)
I had foie gras for the very first time and was blown away. I always say no to it, but we all stepped out of our comfort zone. I retried scallops and salmon and I'm hooked. I always have had bad pieces, but I have a new found love again! I did't like the lobster nor did Rena. It was really 'fishy'.
Mike and I are going back this weekend for our date night. While he won't try the seafood, the meat and chicken he will love.
Well after dinner then we decided to go surprise our Friday night softball friends at Old Chicago's. We only found one, Heather, with her hubby Bryon and a couple of other guys. We had a couple of drinks there and I, all off sudden, had the urge to dance. And I have never been to our infamous club, Gram Central Station. (for those not here, it's not the nicest of clubs, but it gets the job done) It has top 40 music, country, and 80's in different areas. So after taking Heather to Amy's to change her clothes, dropping Marcie home (she was so tired), we finally hit the road at 12:30. Well they close at 2.. that didn't stop us! LOL We got there at 1 am, paid our silly cover and got in an hour of fun. The bull, they no longer had. Rena was driving (she isn't able to drink yet, JUNE BABY!), so no worries on drinking and driving out there. Her brother met us out too! It was nice to have a guy around for when the lonely guys start hitting on ya.
We closed it down and headed back to Amy's and began to talk outside her home. It was a little chilly but not bad. We talked and talked and just had such a great time.
When we were leaving, I turned funny and threw my back out. It had been hurting all week and I was worried I would throw it out, always did when prego with Riordan and after as well. So between the cold, the heels, the dancing and being on my feet, it was pretty much inevitable at that point.
I could barely walk in my house and was pretty much in tears because it hurt so bad. I was in bed all weekend. I did break for church Sunday and the picnic, but it has set me back a day. Today it is much better, but I have a lot of spasms still. But at least I can walk again. I missed Mom's Night Out tonite though because sitting is still too much. We had dinner and pedicures planned.

I tried to take out Caden's stitch on Monday and we weren't successful. I did get the knot loose though, and today he said he pulled it out. I took a look and it was gone! Nice job, saved us $25 copay and over an hour in the doc's office ;-) His cut looks so nice and is pretty much healed now.

This weekend I am throwing my friend Kristi a baby arrival shower! I can't wait for Colbie's first girly party! I won't post details until after cuz she reads this ;-)

Caden has his last game this Saturday, while I'm having the shower, for flag football and then we will have a break in sports till fall. Next weekend I am having a garage sale, 4 years over due! And some of my friends from church are doing it with me and one of them is a pro! So I feel good to have her around for sure!

My friend Tracy is scheduled to deliver her baby girl on Friday! She will have an amnio on Thursday to make sure Taylor's lungs are developed. So keep her in your prayers for a safe and healthy deliver for both of them. They still aren't sure where the baby is planted and if it's on her c-section scar then she will have to have a hysterectomy because bleeding won't stop :(. She's okay with that, being that they are happily done with three children. Just a bit scary to have to have major surgery (well c-sections ARE major surgery). She is so ready to come home too! 5 weeks in the hospital! WOW!

I'm hoping to make it to training tomorrow night. I'm sure Joe can figure out things for me to do that don't require standing and I can work out this spasm. I remember with after having Riordan, the more I was active the better it felt.

So what else... Planning our dining for Disney tomorrow. 60 days out you can book it! And tomorrow is 60 days! WOW! AND we just booked a full family trip to see my family in OCTOBER!
I'm so excited and nervous to fly with all 6 of us. My dad has not seen Mike, Riordan or Teagan for almost 2 years by then. Thankfully it's about a 3 or so hour flight. So we are not going to think about it until then ;-) But what's great is we will have just one in diapers! YEE HAW!

Friday I have a long over-due hair appointment and that night I will be tidying up the house for the shower. Saturday morning Mike will get the olders to flag football and do a date someplace with them too. I will just have Aislinn who will sleep the morning while I get the house ready. Thankfully Kathleen and Marcie have offered to come over early to help! Thanks so much girls! Gonna take ya up on it for sure! Sunday church and that afternoon we have a birthday party for pals Isabella and Dylan. They both have the same birthday and their moms, Steph and Liz, are due a few days apart with Steph's third and Liz's second! So amazing! Wasn't planned at all either ;-) So neat how life works out.

I'm off to bed and to ice my back. Thinking about all I got to do is making it hurt LOL!
