So this is what it's like!

For the past few days I've been having a lot of action going on with my body.. lots of signs of what is yet to come, and a lot of contractions, but nothing that has been consistent. Well at my visit today, we discussed my signs and they immediatly did a my GBS Test and checked me. I'm at 1 cm already and 40% effaced!!
Being that they say I'm 34 weeks, even though we know I'm 35, I have been told I can not have sex (darn) and I can't do any vigorious walking and to lay down as much as possible for the next week and a half. Only issue being that Aislinn's lungs are fully developed.
I'm just thrilled that finally the 4th time around my body seems to know what to do!! So please keep me in your prayers that I can do labor on my own, with no invasion and no inducing. What a treat that will be to labor at home!!
I go back in 2 weeks and we do another u/s to see her size and to be checked again.

Aloha!

from Maui!!
What a relaxing amazing vacation/some work for Mike, we have had!!
We are still here, just relaxing in our room till our bags are picked up. This truly is living and the way to vacation. We have been completely spoiled. AXA really cares about their employees and treats them like gold.
The flight was rough on my body but well worth it!
So to begin we had an 1 1/2 delay in Phx on the plane for two mechanical issues. Cleared them up confidentally and we were on our way. Because of our delay in PHX we had a brief layover in Honolulu which was perfect. We had a porter that met us at our gate, carried our carry ons and took us to our next gate! It was here that we realized the supreme service we were about to endure.
A hop skip and a jump on our plane and we were in Maui. So beautiful!
Another porter met us at the gate, we tagged our luggage, jumped on a shuttle and we were on our way to the resort.
We had a beautiful room that was very serene and quaint and away from the main hotel next to their Chapel where the have over 40 weddings a month. We were ground floor and our lanai pad was on the Koi Pond with turtles! We also had a little view of the ocean. (pics to follow soon)
My feet and ankles at this point were so swollen I could hardly walk, and I had drank 1 1/2 liters of water on the plane. So we decided to stay in till dinner, which was in front of our room that evening. By the time dinner came, I couldn't fit into any fun shoes and was a bit grouchy and so very tired. But I changed my 'tude, we walked over and met Mike's associates and many more fun, FUNNY, and interesting people. The weather was beautiful, humid, but we had the beach breeze. We stayed for a few hours and when we got in our room, we were asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillow.
Our agenda for the next day was breakfast, Mike had sessions for work and I hit the pool, with my new friend Stephanie, who is due with her second in late December. She and I just hit it off, her and her hubby live in SoCal, southern California ;-). She has a daughter, Brayden who is 7 and they left her at home for the first time for this trip with her mom. So she had heart pains like me and we bonded!! The guys got out early, Mike was supposed to golf but some mean ugly clouds were coming in. I had an appointment at the spa with the Therme hydrotherapy baths and a massage. Mike cancelled his golf and stayed at the pool till the rain came in. He then watched the tube in our room and was quite content to do that. My spa bathes were amazing. There is nothing like them apparently in the world. They scrub you down with loofahs and then there were 5 mineral bathes, two different kinds of hot tubs, a cold plunge, a sauna, a steam room, a shower that rinsed you in between each bath that got you in every nook and cranny and the best was a cascading waterfall bath.. it was so cool!
My massage that day was okay, I had a guy, which caught me offguard because no one asked me if that was okay, he had no clue how to work the pregnancy pillow, and almost used oil instead of the always cocoa butter. He had a nice touch, but didn't touch my feet, which I know has trigger spots, but you just avoid them. So I wasn't impressed and after a few hours called and made sure that my appt the next day for my SECOND massage was a better experience. I was also getting a much needed facial.
That night we had reservations at Sarento's on the Beach, per a recommendation from our waiter at the Ocean Club. And man oh man was he just one we were singing praises to! All open aired, fine dining, romantic restrauant on the beach literally, with a great view of the sunset. The food was fabulous, we had a photographer take our picture at sunset, enjoyed a nice bottle of Siduri!! our favorite, and dessert! It was very hot at first, but once that sun went down it was just perfect.
Back to the hotel we went to join the others that were having a luau dinner. Because of the rain, the luau was inside. The hula dancers were so great! At the end of the show, the came outside and did their fire routine. We saw it and then bolted to our beds calling our name again. My swelling, which had ALL gone down from the mineral bathes, was coming back.
Friday morning, breakfast again, Mike a session, me and Steph to the pool. After the pool I had my spa day again, and this time it was heavenly, amazing, and everything I expected and more! We had a 'free night' from AXA so Mike's division were all going to dinner at Seawatch, which again highly recommended by our waiter back home. THe best sunset spot on Maui and they were right. We made it just in time to see it set and get some more pictures. Dinner was amazing again, but it took over 3 hours! Another group was there and the one upping's and drinking competitions began. It was quite the site to see some of these guys in a different element. Mike's group, the West Coast (boo hoo we are no longer East Coast which was a wake up for me that night) is just great. The chemistry we all had with each other was warming and it was if we ALL wives included had been friends for years. It was because of them that dinner was just that more amazing. By the end, the drinkers went to an Irish pub, yes Irish!, and the prego's went home. Our hubby's were actually praising us for being pregnant so they could go home ;-)
Saturday morning, we woke up hit breakfast and then picked up our car for the day, a convertible Mustang. We drove around the North part of the island and went to Lahaina, where the biggest Banyan Tree in the world is located, so neat and amazing! We did a little site seeing here, but every shop was pretty much the same so we went on up to Ka'napahli to Whaler's village. It had some high end retail shopping and some local things as well. We had lunch at Leilani's on the Beach. This whole time we have been hot and humid, the trade winds weren't blowing since a volcano somewhere on another island was really spewing some lava so it created a layer of stuff. So every little breeze we did feel we relished it. A lot of the dining is outside... I felt like I was in a sauna all the time LOL.
We headed back to the hotel and quickly changed to hit the pool. We stayed for a couple of hours and then came back to change for our last night here on Maui with AXA. We had a Jazz Under the Stars night with picnic baskets, blankets, and lawn chairs. The food wasn't that good, but we got some great group shots with his division. Some dancing began with those feeling it, and my legs were getting literally restless. So Mike and I headed to our room where he helped my legs calm down.
This morning we did room service and packed. It's another humid day with no breeze, but it has just been incredible vacation.
I miss my children desperately. My sister Jennifer gave us a gift that is priceless and we are so grateful for her!! The boys were always happy and singing their praises about her when we talked to her. It was so nice to not have a single worry abou ttheir care and just miss them. She got on her plane this morning for home and Aunt Amy and Uncle John have them now. Which when we talked to them it was like a party they were having so much fun. We get in tonite at midnight and we promised Caden we'd wake him up. Not sure if he's going to school tomorrow, but I have a feeling no matter how tired he is, he'll want to go...
We got some great souveniers for the zoo, and just so excited to wrap our arms around them! Porter is coming soon to get our luggage and then we leave in about an hour for the airport! Mahalo Maui!! and Ahoha!

One more sleep

Till Aunt Jen comes!
We are so excited.. I have lots to do but I work best under pressure!!
We had Teagie's playgroup here this morning and had such a nice time with our friends... Riordan is such a ham ;-)
Picked the Caden's up from school and then we hit Fry's for major groceries for the week.
Off to make a meal for my dear sweet friend Kristi, she's so ill :( and get to play with the Tripp girls this afternoon!
Tomorrow is nothing but a laundry day.
Weekend was great too! Yesterday we went to our friend's the Jackson's for swim and bbq and the Tripp fam was there too, and they all play so nicely together!! We were in the pool for quite some time and had to get out because a dust storm came.
Caden had his second scary expereince in the pool too. He thought he had another step to go, but it was to the floor. I was arms reach of him, holding Teagan, and it was scary to watch him go under. He was doing all the right things too, kicking his legs and moving his arms, but his body wouldn't surface. I quickly grabbed him around the waste and pulled him up. He was soooo upset and it still breaks my heart and gives me the hebbie jebbies thinking about it. He thankfully didn't inhale water, so he didn't choke, but just was so upset. Thank God I was so close to him, he was purely panicking too in the water. Ugh, okay moving on, I'm going to get upset thinking about it again...
Saturday we had a date nite and hit the mall for some shopping and Kona for some sushi, it was a perfect date for me, but not sure for Mike ;-)
I can't believe we leave in less than 2 days!
I'm going to miss my babies though....

Was just..

Looking through my last weeks of blogging before Teagan came.
At 34 weeks she was almost 6lbs... seems that Aislinn is truly on that same path if I was measure correctly, which happens to be the same techs...
So it will be interesting to see what Aislinn is doing at 36 in comparison.

This is a vent, beware ;-)

Okay, I have had it with the comments of how huge I look. Yes I go through this everytime, but I'm feeling a bit sensitive lately.
Why do absolute strangers feel it necessary to comment on my body?? Touch it?? Tell me their opinions? I could care less about an unsolicited opinion!
Friday while I was gettng my hair done, and I was under the dryer, reading a magazine, totally into my magazine, a woman leans over and goes , "When are you due." I quickly respond October. She gasps, I have seen this reaction a lot for 2 months now. And now it's pissing me off. She lets me know that she thinks I'm having a big baby. I ignore her, hoping she thinks I can't hear her because I am under the dryer. Oh no she then goes, "This must be your first?" I look her straight in the eye, "No this is my fourth." She goes, "Ohhhh then you know what your doing." I probably shouldn't have said this but I replied, "I sure do" She then left me alone. She's a proud grandmother I notice later and probably just wanted to show of her grandchildren's pictures to me, but instead hit up the woman to her other side.
Every week at church I get the gasps and you look like your ready now. But the last comment as we are leaving again pissed me off. A woman comes up to me and goes you must be soooo miserable in this heat and being so huge!
Okay, she was the one I pretty much lost it on. After 10 comments this morning, I tell her very quickly, "I am NOT miserable and have a nice week." She wouldn't stop harping on it!! I was practically running away from her!
I feel bad about it now, but again, I had a huge smile on my face, talking with my children and to her I look miserable??
I told Mike that I'm not going back to church till Aislinn comes LOL.
Oh and if one more person says that I'm going to have my baby in Maui, watch out. My baby won't be healthy to have in Maui!! Why would you think it funny/cool/etc to have her there?? Plus I'm tired of explaining that I'm only 34 weeks when we are there, my children have to be evicted and if I had any concern of having a baby in Maui, do you honestly think I would go there? Be away from my children for weeks on end because newborns can't fly? Seriously? Seriously!!
Also tired of pointing out, that Mike and I are not small people by any means so do you think that I would seriously be having a 6-7 lb baby???

By the way, thank you to all strangers and friends who tell me how great I look/how adorable I am/to have a great trip you'd be going to/and anything positive for that manner, or even excited that I'm having a baby (most likely) in October because it's near your birthday ;-)

I feel better, thanks to those who have read and understand and to those who don't understand, I can explain no further ;-)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEGAN!

Happy Birthday to Megan our niece from Mike's side!!
She turned 7 today! WOW SEVEN!
I remember when I held her as a baby walking through Olgunquit (sp) Maine and she's now SEVEN?!
Just amazing!
Hope you had the best birthday yet little Diva!
Love you!

Mom update

She did great and is doing fabulous. She sounds so great, better than the last time they tried to do the procedure and she's even got some good drugs in her ;-) I got to talk to her about 6 her time..
She's a little miffed that the hospital doesn't have the Disney Channel because of High School Musical 2 coming on tonite, but it's replaying tomorrow... She loves that movie!
She will go home tomorrow ... Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers!!

Prayer request

My mom is having her procedure finally for her tachycardia. Just got off the phone with my little sister and they were just going through the heart to carterized the malfunction circuit! Please say a special prayer for my Ox of a Mom ;-)
Will update you with the results later today!

We are off to play at John and Mark's house while Caden is at school. Then I'm getting my roots touched up for Maui!

Tomorrow I'm having breakfast at 8 with Marcie at Paradise Bakery, our Pastor is coming over at 11 to talk about our new phase of the church and the Mike and I are having a date night again! Trying to get as many in before Aislinn's arrival.

Aislinn

Aislinn is 4 lbs 14 oz! Just 2 oz off ;-) Not bad huh? Mommy knows best!
She is down in the 81 percentile now, measuring at 34 weeks to their 32 weeks and a day, a week bigger than her true due date.
We will do another u/s in four weeks to see where she is again.
She has a full head of hair already, isn't that so cool to see? She is still in position however already facing towards my back, rump in the air and her feet and knees are on my right side. It's been this way for weeks now, but confirmation of what she's doing. Explains why I never feel her under my rib cage too.
My OB said that she totally believes the mom when she says her baby feels big. So far I don't feel huge like Riordan, but definitely big. SHe predicts that if I go all 40 weeks she will be 8 1/2... I think she will be bigger.

Yes we are the throw up family

Caden had his appt today and afterwards we met Daddy, Riordan, and Teagan at Streamer's. Mommy has been dying for a Chocolate Marshmellow Milk Shake since I got pregnant and finally we were getting out to get it!
Why we even bother with dinner is beyond me. The children don't eat and scream for ice cream the entire time we are there!
So it was great, perfect, delictable (sp) and hit the spot.
Mike took all the zoo in the car home and I drove by myself.
I was a few cars behind him, talking to Marcie on the cell when I noticed he had pulled over and was pulling a child throwing up out of the car. At first I thought it was Riordan, but nope it was Teagan! I quickly pulled over, being that he would see me drive by if I tried to ignore them ;-), and ran over with the baby wipes (I had the diaper bag!)
She was soooo sick and we aren't sure why. Too much ice cream? Gag on a smartie? We will never know if it was food related.
So Caden starts gagging. Quickly got him out of the car before he started and put him in the Lexus to chill. Riordan, who didn't have a nap today, was fast asleep in his seat and clueless to all the commotion and smell for that matter.
Once she was done, we stripped her, put her in Caden's car seat (Caden had his booster in the Lexus, so he had a ride too) and threw the throw up one in the back. We were on Gilbert at Ocotillo, so I'm sure we were seen by a lot of people ;-)
An adventure, it never ends!
Now she is playing, after a nice warm bath, as if nothing ever happened.
Caden's visit with Ms. Joy went great. He played this really really fun game called Cariboo, I have a feeling we will be getting it when we are out again. It was quite educational and challenging, yet fun. Dealt with numbers, letter, colors, and shapes.
I'm off to go to the store and give my car a bath, it has throw up on the running board ;-)

More on Teagan

She cracks me up! And then drives me mad LOL!
She insists on throwing her diaper away at every changing. Who am I to argue? Except on ewww's, then I take them outside.
But her big thing is, "How many times can I say Mommy before she goes crazy?"
This has been her thing for a couple of weeks now, but driving up to Peoria, she said it seriously almost the entire way there.
I try and get her to change and say 'daddy', but nooooo, it has to be mommy.
So now I frustrate her. We have a little game. She says Mommy, I say Teagan. We do this back and forth 10 times and then I cut her off saying her name faster while she says mine. She will then growl at me and stop ;-) I need to get it on video, pretty hilarious.
Speaking of growling, she loves to tell the Knock Knock Dinosaur joke, has for months now. We got it from the Doodlebops.
She quacks like a duck to all animal sounds, and calls her sippee a 'ba-ba' all of a sudden.

We just got the boys their own Mack Truck from Cars, their own Lightning McQueen, and a few others of the characters. I made sure I got her Sallie. Thing is I should have gotten her Mack too. She wants to play with it all the time, like the boys. What a great thing this was. Our friend John has it and I've been waiting forever to get them. The boys have slept with them the last two nights, naps included. It's so hard having birthday's so close to Christmas. There is no in between to get gifts, but I try not to go crazy either. This was one thing that I felt they couldn't wait any longer on, since it's been a year now that they watch Cars atleast 2-3 times a week. And now it's a big hit again with all their characters.

This is the time of year that I prepare for costumes for Halloween, but I might get off without making but one purchase! Caden says he'd be Dash (2 years ago and costume still fits) and Riordan will be Pablo like Caden was last year. Just need to get a Minnie Costume for Teagan, or Ariel, how cute would that be?! I call Caden Prince Eric all the time and he gets embarrased because he has such a huge crush on Ariel. Depending on the weather will depend on if Aislinn gets a full costume. I have a pumpkin hat and orange onsie for back up.

Okay off to pack the snack bag for school, which by the way Caden still absolutly loves and is so into going Mon-Friday. Next year will be a full day!! Riordan is supposed to start now in September. It got pushed back becasue the building isn't finished being built. Good reason I say. So tentatively first day is Sept 5th. He's been asking this week when he's going and I say soon. That was a big thing for us to bribe him. Can't go to school if you don't go in the potty....

Still need to post pictures from Diego and a few other cuties...
Maybe tomorrow... Today is busy.

Back in the potty biz

Yep we have finished our 4th day of Riordan back going in the potty. All I can say is thankkkkkk youuuuuuu.
Nothing significant changed to get him to go back, he just looked at me Saturday morning and said he had to go ;-)
Only one accident in four days, yippee! He loves to go pee pee on the grass too LOL. Which he did a lot at Uncle John and Aunt Amy's house on Saturday evening. That was a fun time.
We got a very late start out of the gate, so we didn't get to their house until a quarter till 5. We even put them down early for naps, so we could get there by 4. But of course, the children decided to take longs naps and much need ones for all the energy they were going to use swimming. We were wonderful prunes when we got out of their fun and refreshing (once the aerator came on) pool! It's so hot that the water was heated up like bath water. Thannkkkkk youuuuuu for aerators! Their house is beautiful and so perfectly cozy. They just upgraded to a Honda SUV too! Congrats guys!
Oh and Friday nite at Fleming's was yummo.. got my Filet, my bearnaise sauce, my potatoes, and my chocolate lave cake! I can't wait to eat it ALL again LOL.
Sunday we completely and totally forgot to go to Ava's house for her 1st birthday after church! I was so sad to forget it, but thankfully her mommy forgave us. I just loveee this pregnancy brain. It was on both my calendars and we even talked about it that morning going to church. On the way home we hit Mickey D's and then took naps! I didn't remember until I was getting ready for Marcie's birthday dinner! YIKES!
This week is doctor appointments. I decided, I don't think I've posted any of this, to do speech therapy for Caden after a few weeks from his evaluation. She is pretty sure it's a developmental issue and that a few session would do great for him. She did give me the option of continuing to work with him at home, which is what I first decided. Well he had an extremely rough week 2 weeks ago, so bad in fact he broke my heart because he for the first time stopped saying a word and said he couldn't do it, and he even asked to go she Ms. Joy, our therapist. This past week though, he has had a lot less bumpy speech, so it may have just been a long week for him. Anywho, I'll be content to get this worked on before Aislinn comes. Our first real appointment is tomorrow after school.

I have the next weigh in on Thursday for Aislinn. See how big this nugget is! I'm convinced she is 5lbs easily.

My friend Kristi is expecting her fourth and is in full throttle morning sickness. Oh how she is handling it so much better than I did! She is still driving the boys in the morning. I'm ready for you to take a break! ;-)

My girls Kristi, Monica, and Marcie are planning a baby lunch/dinner for me on the 8th. Not sure on the details, but I did request nothing extravagent like favors, cake, balloons, etc. I just want to enjoy a last hurrah out with the girls before I live like a hermit with FOUR children LOL. They are so good to me, thank you girls!

I can't believe we leave for Maui in a week! Hurricane Flossie, is just missing the Big Island and is just causing a lot of big surf. I don't see anything significant forming in the Pacific, but I'm better at predicting in the Atlantic than here.

Teagan is doing just great. She is such a princess/diva/boss of the house. Her expressions just crack me up. She loves to go in the bathroom with Riordan and flush the toilet for him when he's done. Gets mad if she doesn't get to do it. She can say all of our names now, her favorite phrase is " I don't want to" It's clear as a bell and she got it from Riordan. Says it perfectly with emotion and hand movements.
Riordan has been saying Dag Nabbit, but it sounds like GD and the first time he did it, I was shocked. It wasn't until today, after a couple of days, that I figured out what he was saying. Okay, so we are working on the enunciation now. Thank you Backyardigans.

Mike cleaned out the gargage this past weekend, so well in fact that I can for the first time since our house in Acworth park in it!! What a huge difference it has been the past two days! It's still warm in there, but it's not beating us down, and I don't have to worry anymore about where the children are when loading and unloading. People just fly down our street. I want to put in my own speed bump in front of the house!

Everyone keeps saying that I will have to change to a MiniVan, and I think if I hear it one more time I may hurt them. Yes my hormones seem to be a bit raging these past few weeks. However, I'm exasperated from explaining how changing from a 7 passenger SUV with no cargo room, to a 7 passenger mini-van with hardly cargo room makes any sense? Our vacations are driving only, and no way can we fit all of our things for SIX people in a minivan! So for months now I have been researching the different types of SUV's with extended lengths, Used mind you, and think I'm set on the Yukon XL. Thing is, I won't be able to park in the gargage LOL. But I can do third seat with three passengers, captain's chairs for the second row and have cargo room for my triple, YES triple Stroller by Joovy, the Big Caboose. It's compatable with my car seat for Aislinn, a spot for Teagan and a spot to stand or sit for one of the boys. Great for cooler days to walk to the park! My double stroller will have to go in the front seat of our Ford until then, yeah doesn't fit in the little cargo holder with the third row up. But I will make due for another 7-8 months at the most. The price is great, in fact a used one is the same as the price of our new Ford when we bought it. So there, this is something I have researched since I got pregnant, in fact before hand too. I have looked at all my friends MiniVans, and not satisfied with the cargo room in the back or under the floor. You have to see how we pack to understand. And the triple stroller won't fit in the minivan! LOL If I were to get a minivan, because I'm not against them, It would be the Nissan Qwest. She is purty! So done there ;-)

And oh yes, pregnancy insomnia is bad tonite as well as my restless leg syndrome. So I may go and try and watch a movie, which will hopefully put me to sleep! We have the Da Vinci Code tivo'd and I'm been waiting forever to watch it.

Diego and more!

What a great time we had at Go Diego Go!! The ASU Gammage Theater was just a perfect and cozy location. However driving there, I finally saw the 'ghetto' of Tempe. I was shocked at how run down and shady the town looked, considering they have this beautiful River front area and expensive condos and stuff. Guess where we know where they are putting their money.
We arrived in ample time for a close parking spot, potty break, souvenier collecting and more!
Riordan by the way has relasped on potty training and I just don't know what to do. He has more than 4 accidents a day if he's in his underwear and shorts, so I've resorted to pull ups again and just so disappointed. But the weird thing is, when we were at Diego he was doing the potty dance 20 mins into the show, so in the aisle since it was nice and dark, I slipped on pull ups on him. Well he insisted on going to the potty in the bathroom, even though I kept saying go in the pull up. So I had to run him to there and thankfully the people we sold our tickets to watched Caden while we went and Caden was a big boy and so engrossed in the show, probably hardly noticed we left ;-) And then when we got home, Riordan goes potty in the pull up, I give up!
I have tried bribing him again, crying LOL, and making frequent visits, but he still goes in his undies and pullups. But thankfully so far, he still goes eww in the potty! Okay so that's been going on for almost 2 weeks now..
Diego's set was so impressive, and Riordan has developed a crush on Alicia, his sister. Dora was there along with Baby Jaguar, BoBo Brother's, Click, and Rescue Pack. Pics to be upload soon!
Week has been somewhat uneventful, except that Caden's school had a mock Lockdown today. They had a practice one yesterday, and he didn't want to go to school today and do it again. They have to shut off the lights, lock the doors, sit quietly, and when someone comes to knock on the door, they can't answer it or the school fails. The Police dept comes and does the official Mock Lockdown which they did today and gave all the kids stickers. ALL the schools including Elementary do this, and it's a good drill for them. Wow welcome to the new age of school drills. Forget your tornado/fire drill right?!
So for Caden's anxiety, we put a guitar pick, a special rock I got in Maine years ago on the beach ;-), a die, and a keychain calculator for his pockets. He only could 'play' with these items during the lockdown and not during the rest of the school day. I emailed his teacher to informing her of his anxiety. She thankfully had a flashlight and used her computer screen for light and it really seemed to help. He said he wasn't so scared today and Ms. Hansen praised him for being so brave.
It's tough to know when to push your child isn't it or when to let them have their way. I'm glad I had him face his fear though. His teach is so sweet and nuturing, had it been not that way, I would have let him stay home.
Most of you know I have cut hair for years, actually began doing it again at the beginning of the year thinking we were done for a while with children, but had to give it back up once I got sick and haven't taken it back up since then. Anyway, the children have a fasination with my water bottle. They will swipe it in an instant if it's out and squirt pretty much anything that gives them a good laugh. Well Caden decided to squirt down our bedroom TV yesterday with it, and it made it break. Yep, the buttons don't work anymore. Now the thing is, this TV is older than dirt. It was Mike's ex's TV, lines going across the screen and buzzed all the time. But we said we wouldn't replace it until it stopped working. Well THANK YOU CADEN!! He keeps apologizing for breaking it, but I keep telling him he did us a favor! We went out to Best Buy and got a cute little 22 inch Flat Screen and WOW what a difference it is now LOL. I can't believe we put up with that for so long! However, he knows that he will get in massive trouble if he decides to squirt that TV or the big Flat Screen.
We had our playgroup Monday at our friend Michelle's house, and then had our friend's the Camacho's over for lunch today.
Tomorrow night Mike and I have a date, hopefully to Fleming's.. Saturday we are off to the Malloy's to see their new house finally and Sunday night I have a birthday dinner party for my friend Marcie.
Mike is home late tonite, so I may take the kiddos up to Chick Fila to play. It's so hard during this heat for them to get exercise. But it is like being at home for Winter. And our Winter we can still play outside.

I've been forgetting to post

That my friend Rena is officially in remission after very aggressive chemo therapy treatment! After a bone marrow biopsy earlier this week, it came back negative for Leukemia!
Her immune system is still low so until that comes back up, then she can come home.
She will be doing a monthly trip to Texas for treatment as well. They are really making sure this cancer is not going to come back.
So thankful that she is doing so much better! Love you Rena!

Can you see the smoke from there?

The smoke up my rear from the V.P. of Caden's school? Lies lies lies I have received and you know I don't use that word losely and how I detest liars.
If I had a million dollars I would be in Private School and not worrying about how unwelcome the Administration of Basha High School has made us parents feel.
Two days in a row the gate has been locked for pick up and when I call, I get NO apology and the feeling I'm putting THEM out for trying to get in! Plus the fact that curbside pickup was supposed to go in place this week, but the V.P. doesn't recall having that conversation with me at all. Dude, she so doesn't know who she's dealing with does she, as Mike puts it.
This is how our conversation went today:

I asked her what was being done to put it in place and she goes, " I don't recall having a conversation with you implying that would happen." I say, "I'm sorry, I MUST have misunderstood you when you said, Maria on your team was the one who changed the idea of curbside pickup, and that you had received numerous complaints from the parents and that since it was only 2 days into school, you didn't want to do anything to change it that week, but would wait till this week. But again, I must have misunderstood that you were saying it would be in place."
She goes, " Well we don't have the staff to utilize this, nor extra aides, but I can see if we can pull one from somewhere, but I don't foresee you having curbside pickup, but maybe we can come up with another idea."
So I say, " A couple of parents have suggested us being able to us the side door from where we park and walk the children up to the door, with our other children able to stay in the car since we can see them, unlike having to walk around the side of the building." She said, "That could be a possibility, but they would have to see if it would disrupt the other classrooms."
I told her, that I don't know how I'm going to be able to walk all my children up to school, being that I carpool and I can't fit my double stroller in the car with my third row, so I will have two, instead of one, loose children back and forth 2 and under. And I'm not the only parent with multiple young children. I hate being 'that parent'. It's not sitting well with me :( I just wanted them to fix it on their own, without phone calls, but obviously they were just going to 'let it go as is'

Also, the fact that last week she was supposed to call me back with answers the day after our inital conversation and she said she didn't call because all my issues were addressed in a handout last week from the teacher. LIES!! The handout we got was only about parent volunteers in the classroom. SMOKE SMOKE SMOKE!

So I'm at a lose. I love his teacher, he loves going to school, is making a lot of new friends, I like the parents, (a lot of them DIVAS though LOL). So I'm really the only one suffering. Is this acceptable for a public school? I don't know being this is our first experience at it.

So I'm in need of a stiff drink. Although Maui is just THREE weeks away ;-)
