So far has been pretty good!
We had a playdate at our friend Kelly's house yesterday morning with Ava, who is 11 months old and walking all over the place! She is so cute as Riordan puts it ;-) Her birthday party is coming in a few weeks and we are so excited to help her celebrate!
Today we had the St. Geme's come and play. It's always so nice to catch up with them. Our playdates are cut shorter though with picking Caden up, so I feel like it was time to go pretty soon after they got here :( But we will have a date with them again soon!
And we will see the Saturday at Go Diego Go! Kathleen was able to find us someone to buy our tickets! I so owe her lunch for that one!
The rest of the week is just layed back.. we will hit a few stores during the week before picking up Caden. With Mike gone every night until Saturday, my hands will be overflowing.
The Tripp family is coming over Sunday after naps for a family playdate! Now that we have opposite schedules and school for our second oldests not starting till Sept now, it's a challenge to see each other.
I'm not going to be able to do MOPS this year, with Caden out at 11 and the baby coming in October, it just isn't doable. And then with MOMS most of the events are at 10 or 10:30 which doesn't allow us to attend either with Cadens school schedule. So hopefully next year when he's in school full-time we can enjoy it again.
So lots of playdates instead ;-)

My mom and Paul Stanley
Who'd ever think they would have something in common?! ;-) Paul Stanley by the way is a member of the band KISS.
They both though have tachycardia, if you heard about Paul Stanley this weekend. Mom had to get the shot that he got, twice in 12 hours! to stop her heart and restart it to stop beating so fast.
She by the way, is doing great on her medication, had a great vacation in PCB (Panama City Beach for you Westerners and Northerners) and is rescheduled for her procedure to carterized the malfunction circuit in her heart on Aug 17th. That will give her the rest of the weekend to recoup at home.
On another note, Ratatouille with the boys went okay. Riordan decided he wanted to frequent the bathroom, I kid you not, 10 times. I really think he had to go ewww as we call it, but once we would make it there the urge would be gone.
So didn't see much of the second part of the movie, but I know we will get in on DVD or TIVO it on Pay Per View.
They were so cute though with their kids combo of popcorn, fruit snack, and a coke and I gave them a helping of Milk Duds for their popcorn as well. A trick my sister Susan got me hooked onto since I was a teenager, mix it in with the popcorn and it's like carmel corn if the popcorn is hot enough.
We then hit Target afterwards and got Caden new shoes. He has jumped from an 11 to a 13 in 3 months! They both got matching LIghtening McQueen sneakers that light up, that they wore to church today. I can tell Teagan wants some light up shoes, because she keeps stomping her feet to see her shoes like they do. Also got a fabulous deal on some new polos and t-shirts for Caden as well for school. This everyday school thing is new for us for clothing! I try to 'dress for success' with him. And leave the play clothes for when he gets home. He likes it because it makes him feel spiffy.
Mike is watching, surprise surprise, the Sox, the chlidren are asleep, so I think I will nap a moment as well!

We made it through the first week!
Helloooooo! Thank you to those concerned with me for not posting for over a week! What a week it has been!
We are dealing with 60-70% humidity, which is like 100% back home, so it has really been kicking my rear!
Plus this cold is still lingering!
Caden's first day of school went pretty good! As he walked in, he was trying so hard not to lose it, and he did cry a little in his room, but when I picked him up, he on his own said goodbye to his teacher, and I knew we were good to go. Everyday since then had been great and Kristi and I even started carpooling on Wednesday instead of waiting till next week! That has been a huge help for both of us! Cashton likes a morning nap, so she does drop off for the Caden's and I pick up! Teagan likes to sleep in so it really has been great!
The week went great and we are getting into a routine quickly with breakfast in the morning for all, then Caden off to school. After pick up we all eat sandwiches, YES sandwiches! If you know my children they don't ever like to eat them, but this week we did! Then a 30 mins on the t.v. and then we all go down for a nap. Then playtime around the house while I cook dinner. So no time to sit down this week at all for me to update the blog :(
I had contacted the school about issues that didn't seem to be getting resolved or just getting "I don't know's" still and after the first day of school I found it unacceptable. I didn't want to be 'that mom', but we as a lot of us have been disappointed in the way Basha High School has handled Kindersteps. Seems we are getting some progress now, but curbside pickup isn't in place yet, which I was told on Wednesday would be by next week. The bright shining star is Ms. Hansen their teacher. She has been teaching for 7 years and is just so warm, nuturing, and patient, and funny from what Caden tells me ;-) So the admin department needs work is all and with about the whole class of us, they don't stand a chance to let things fall to the wayside anymore.
I got a night out with Kristi too on Wednesday, where we went to the Coach store to upgrade my handbag the girls got me to the fabulous Multi-Functioning / Diaper bag! After 4 babies, I think I deserve it! It's just beautiful! Then we hit Kona for amazing sushi, prepared at the counter and the chef custom made me a shrimp tempura roll with cream cheese and avocado and my mouth is still watering from it! And I'm craving Kristi's crab crunch roll too, holy moly the second time around on that one worked for me!
My sister made it back from their adventure Thursday afternoon, so we got Patsy Grimaldi's for dinner, seriously the best pizza ever and hugely competitive with Fellini's from Atlanta for my southener's. They all had a great time and her pictures were just so amazing. I can't wait till our zoo is older to do things like that! So great that AZ has so much to offer for outdoor things, especially during the summer when it's so blazing hot. This humidity has cut on the oven feel, our temps have stayed in the 90's and below, but I don't like the feeling of needing a shower either, so I don't like either of it LOL. Speaking of shower!
We have been getting a ton of rain and thunderstorms! Yesterday we got hit by a big one at 5pm. It scared little Teagan though. It literally rained buckets, cats, dogs, and anything else for a good 30 mins. A good soaking as my dad would call it.
Yesterday too, I dont' know if it was because of the storm, I was experiencing light contractions again and cramping, so I got into bed right after dinner at 5:30 with a big bottle of water, and fell asleep at 6:30! I didn't get out of bed until 6:30 this morning! LOL It was a much needed rest, because I didn't feel too rested this morning either with a headache.
I'm taking the boys to see 'Ratatouille' finally at the 10:10 showing at our new theater. They are ready to leave now! Mike and Teagan will have a morning to themselves. He says they are going out ;-)
So an easy weekend for us, nothing else planned besides church. I have just a couple of pictures of Caden from his first day at school, he really didn't want his picture taken. Didn't want to aggravate him at all on his first day, but his second day no problem ;-)
This week will be a tough one. Mike is off to Monterey of all places Thurs-Saturday. I have a movie night with Kristi on Tuesday to see 'No Reservations'. Friday I have my OB appt, and Saturday the boys and I are going to see "Go Diego Go!" Mike had this trip come up after so I'm still trying to sell our tickets for he and Teagan .... Stubhub by Monday, here I come!
Mike and Caden are out getting us breakfast, I'm so hungry .... so off to get a quick snack until then!

TGIF!
Well I still have this horrible cold. It's lingering and the morning and the middle of the night is still rough. Where the heck does all this junk come from?! I'm on day NINE for crying out loud! My ears are still full of fluid too. So I guess it's a doctor's visit if it's not improving by this weekend.
Speaking of this weekend, we have the de Antonio invasion ;-) My sister and her kids are here now just for the weekend. Was going to be a whole week, but she has changed her mind on spending time up in the Grand Canyon and such. So we just have Sat, Sun, and a little of Monday with them. Even Monday nothing really.
It's Caden's first day of BIG BOY school!! School everyday, for the rest of his 'life' until college! It is so baffling to me!
It's a short day though from 8:15-11:00. We meet his teacher and check out his classroom today. He's so excited and he gets to use his very new backpack that his wonderful teachers gave him in May. This year around school thing is taking a moment to get used to as well, but October break will be upon us soon!
Teagan is still teething horribly. She's my first one to actually get the horrible diaper rash/runny nose from teething her molars. I feel soooo bad for her, but she is on the last one and any moment now it should cut through and then a good 6 months till her eye teeth come in I'm guessing on her. She is so full of 'words' and so busy and likes to play play play play.
Last night we all watched Mulan (for the 100th time) before bedtime and she actually sat on my lap the entire time to watch it. I was impressed, plus digging the cuddle time with our little daddy's girl.
Riordan is doing great in his big boy bed. He's so cute in there! We had a guard rail for it, but I was going to take it back until MIke told me yesterday he fell out of bed yesterday morning.. ummmm keeping it and it's going up today for JIC. He is still doing so great with big boy himself and just working now on getting him to go to the potty by himself without help. His open house is in two weeks and then he starts in three weeks. We had a playdate this week with his women from his class. He's so cute when he names them off.
Aislinn is really making me uncomfortable. I'm at the point where I can't eat a regular meal and I have to cut in half at the least to be able to feel comfortable. I'm sleeping horribly now too, well her and the cold. I already feel like she's up in my lungs which scares me with like Riordan being big. But hopefully she will drop soon and I can get some breathing room again. I'm pretty sure she is not in position because I don't get kicked in the ribs yet. But she's a mover and a shaker still. I can't wait to see what she looks like! I have my "30" week appt in two weeks from today and then the appt after that is the u/s to see where she is at weight wise.
Tonite we are getting the house ready for the invasion and then next weekend we have a quite one!! Thank goodness, we need a break!

HOORAY FOR RAIN
It is pouring right now! Yippee! We haven't had rain in 100 and some odd days!
It was a dust storm that caught us at Walmart. Mad rush to the car and careful drive home, in time to get inside just as the rain started in our neighborhood. It's still pouring. LOVE IT! Makes me miss home!
Hopefully it will cool the night off....

Some pics especially for you Sox fans!
Top is when Caden and I were in the ATL. Riordan and Teagan destroyed all the labeling I had done on their playroom, humpfh!
Caden and Teagan playing, Teagan taking a snooze, and then our friend Tracy brought back Red Sox shirts for the three of them on her trip back home. Caden and Teagan are wearing theirs today, but Riordan is being stubborn. Who Riordan? Nooooooo.
My birthday!
Well even though I have a severe head and chest cold I made it through my birthday with all day bed rest and dinner at nite both Saturday and Sunday.
MIke and I went to Mastro's Saturday night and it was just absolutely perfect. The food was superb, got my bone in Filet, gorgonzola mac and cheese and TWO desserts ;-) Even our server was very personable and on top of it all. The ambiance was great, a one man band playing tunes of Sinatra, James Tayloer, to even Kenny Chesney. We had a lovely time and found a new wine that we really like. A full-bodied Pinot Noir by Foley. Going to have to try that one again.
Mike and the children got me a beautiful Coach handbag! It is so perfect for date nites, thank you so much!
Then Sunday, my actual birthday, my girls took me to Kona for scrumptious sushi. The shrimp tempura was perfect and as were the california rolls. I tried the crab crunch and it was pretty darn yummy too! The girls splurged on me with a Coach hand bag! LOL It's matches my coach shoes perfectly that I got earlier this year, my treat for being so ill for so long. I decided I didn't need two small handbags, so the girls bag will be upgraded to the Tote/Diaper bag! Heck after 4 children, I deserve a Coach Diaper bag right?! We had such a great night eating, talking, and our very good friend Rena was very much on our hearts and we toasted to her! We love you Rena!! It wasn't the same without you sweetie.
Today my wonderful amazing housekeepers come, so we are going to lay low, do early naps. and Cox comes today to switch over our phone service to them.
Looking forward to a small break in the heat and possible rain all this week. I pray it doesn't pass us by.

WOW Sleep!
It's truly the best medicine. I went to be at 5:30 after dinner with Mike and the children, woke up at 11, went back to bed and got up a little before 8. I feel a lot better. Sore throat seems to be gone this morning! So not strep ;-) Nose and ears still full of fluid though, so pretty sure this is a energy sucking cold. Thank God for Benadryl and Tylenol too during pregnancy, because without them I would not be in good shape.
Thank you Mike for all that sleep! Now I feel like I can make it to dinner tonite and enjoy our evening out ;-)
So here's a funny for you! I can't remember if I had mentioned Mike got me replaced diamond earrings for our anniversary because one got lost while I was on my bed rest. Mike was able to 'turn in' the one we did have to help pay for the new set. Well Caden came to me yesterday with the lost earring! He said he found it on Teagan's new bed, Riordan's old one! One of the boys, must have been holding onto it for this long, because we moved the bed, stripped it, new bedding and such so it couldn't have just been there the whole time. It will be a mystery always. Now to what do I want to get now with the 'turn in' tee hee hee!
Laundry is starting to back up and the house is cluttered so that is my plan today to get it back in order.. but I won't over do it either ... Mastro's here I come!

Aislinn Update
She weighs 2 1/2 lbs and is in the 89%!! She is big girl and I noticed this a few weeks ago, so it was no surprise.
We are doing another ultrasound before Hawaii to see how big she is again.
Caden was so cute looking at her on the u/s. He was so impressed and in awe.
Just pray that my body goes into labor on it's own and I don't need a jumpstart please!
I'm am very very tired today again, this cold is kicking my arse. Waiting on the bed so we GO to bed ;-)

Oh and I keep forgetting!!
Mike officially finished at 16th out of 26th for our trip to Maui!! Woohoo! Our flight is already booked too! I can't wait, yet sad because we have never together left the children. And I can't drink the whole time to forget LOL. But it will be beautiful and wonderful. We leave the 22nd of Aug through the 26th.
Aunt Jen YOU ROCK!
And MIkey YOU ROCK TOO!! Now what to do about next year? LOL
Caden has open house for his school next Friday. And then we start on the 23rd!
I have come down with a cold, horrible sore throat, ears filling with fluid and draining. I think this is why I've been so tired the last couple of days.
Caden and I are off to see Aislinn on the U/S. I'm supposed to have my Glucose screening today too, but they haven't mentioned it. Well you know I will. I'm prepared ;-)
Supposed to take the boys to the movies today, but I'm so beat, didn't sleep well on top of not feeling good.
Riordan's mattress is here and we set it up last night, his bed comes today! And we moved his old bed to Teagan's room! I put the girls new blankets and pillows on everything from Hot Tootsies and it looks perfect in the room. Pics to follow soon.
OH
And mom is home and rescheduled for Aug or Sept some time. Good thing is they did all the prep work while they were in there on the wrong side so it shouldn't take so long. They feel confident they have regulated her with the medication, after days in the hospital, so that's why they are ok with waiting... Mom had to get back to work ;-) Strong as an ox I tell ya!
Found out this week one of my good friend out here has Leukemia and it has thrown me for a loop. One day she felt perfectly fine, the next day she was in pain all over and could hardly keep her eyes open. Her white cell count was pretty mucn nonexistant so she was immediately put into isolation. They have caught it extremely early and are very positive that she will beat it. Please pray for her, rapid recovery, and most importantly her immune system back up so she can come home!

Life in Atlanta
Was good. I was blessed with a break in weather again. The humidity factor was pretty low and the temp was in the 80's. Perfect pool weather. Saturday rained all day long.
We got two pool days and lots of time with our family. Caden and his cousins played so much, that he asked tearfully if Daddy, Teagan, and Riordan could come 'to this town' instead of us flying home.
Mom's heart issue started the night of the 4th, during fireworks, and finally she went to her primary doc Saturday morning.
She had an episode her too when she came to help us in March when I was stuck in the bed.
Still waiting on word to when her surgery will be. They will go in the left side which means they have to penetrate the heart, leaving a small pinpoint hole that they said would heal up perfectly. I don't know, but I'm starting to get a little freaked out.
Pinpoints in the heart??
Riordan was angry at me for a couple of days while I was gone, wouldn't talk to me on the phone. Totally understand that issue. Caden did that last year when I just took Teagan home.
We got to see our good friend's Diana and Camden. The boys always have played so well together and that day was no different. We got to see the progress on the addition to their home, and it's going to look amazing!! I can't wait to see the final results!
I didn't want to leave, we just sat and talked for a few hours. Plus it was overcast outside, so it made her very cozy home, just that more cozy!! Caden kept asking when we left, if we could set up another playdate.
We made it to my fav Mexican and to RuSan's to eat, but yet again did not make it Georgia Grill. I'm going to have to have their food shipped to us in dry ice!
We also got a quick visit in to the Train Museum with MOM of all people after she was released on Saturday. They had given her no restrictions... I just hope that quick walk around the musuem had nothing to do with her 'relapse'.
Flying for Caden was pretty stressful for taking off. He would get get so emotional, because of being scared and missing Daddy at the same time. Once we got off the ground both times he was perfectly fine. He just gets himself so worked up, just like before his shots. I was so proud of him for being so brave. We watched DVDs, played Leapster, and colored for the 3 1/2 hours and a few trips to the potty. I think he thought it was cool, yet the noise freaked him out. Of course.
Our week here is just absolutely hectic. I can't catch up on the computer yet and wanted to get our trip info down.
Yesterday, Riordan had a re-check for strep, rapid came up negative and waiting on the culture. While we were there, Dr. Sudha for the first time noticed Caden's studder (most of you know this has been at my attention for a year exactly now) She agrees with me it's a mind racing issue, but has sent us for an evaluation none the less. We are scheduled next Tuesday in the afternoon at Fiesta Therapy in Awhautukee. Some days are worse than others for him and somedays, he doesn't do it at all.
After the appointment, we had to go to the grocery, desperately, and then back home for quick lunch and for Kate to come so I could get my birthday hair done!
Today we are cleaning still, since Monday, and we have Carson Luse coming over for a playdate. Then when Mike gets home I'm off to get a mattress for Riordan's new big boy bed that comes on Friday! Sear's totally messed up this time, by postponing the delivery 4 times! so I just completely cancelled it. Hopefully the mattress store will be able to deliver by Friday, or we will just rent a truck from Home Depot. I think I may sneak out for a much need birthday pedicure too. Oh yes, it's my birthday Sunday! I will be glorious 34!!
Tomorrow, the boys have dentist appointments, then we have a playdate with the Jackson's and I'm taking a meal to my friend Liz from MOPS, she had baby Hayley a couple of weeks ago.
Friday, this is getting nuts, I have my 28 week u/s and I'm taking Caden, bed delivery and I'm taking the boys to see "Ratatouille". They are so excited because it's our new movie theater and we've been waiting for the first appropiate movie for them!
Saturday night Mike is taking me to Mastro's for dinner, the really one off of Pinnacle Peak so I can get my bone in Filet, my mouth is just watering like a cave girl! And we get to have that amazing Seared Ahi Tuna again! Man that was good stuff!
Sunday we have church and then some of my girls have arranged a birthday dinner at Kona for me. So sweet and I can't wait to spend some good girl time! How fun to go out with them on my birthday too! And I get to eat the yummy Shrimp Tempura that my friend Dani turned me on to. I am craving that again, good sign again of appetite in full effect ;-)
So that's my week, it's absolutely nuts isn't it?! I can't wait for next week, it's a lot slower, but then we are invaded by my sister and her three kids for almost a week and during Caden's first week at real public school, Kindersteps!
Pray for us! The older boys are so impressionable on Caden and I have been breaking bad habits and potty mouth all week from him and I don't know how I will take another week of it! It's exasperating how quickly Caden picked it up. I feel like he's constantly in time out and us having talks of what he should be doing and saying.
Off to do laundry, make beds and vacuum! Oh and make my famouse chicken salads with praline pecans for Penny ;-)

Update
Well my mom's surgery was not successful.
Somehow they went in on the wrong side of the heart and the issue ending up being on the other side. They didn't want to try and continue to do it today being it was pretty late in the day. So now she is being rescheduled!!
Thank you everyone for your continued prayers and good thoughts! I really appreciated it! Oh and she has to stay hospitalized still until they do the surgery! Holy Moly, she's not going to be happy about that ;-)

My Mom
I have a prayer request from you all!
As you know, I travel to Atlanta frequently because of my dad not able to travel and I always worry about his health.
Well this time, life caught us all off guard and the issue was mom.
She is in the hospital awaiting minor surgery on her heart to correct a valve that is making her heart beat rapidly and I mean 170-190 beats per minute at resting when it should be in the 70's. She is high priority for the surgery since the medication they give her isn't enough to help correct it until August. If she continues with the effects, then she could damage her heart and then that gets scary to think what could happen next. I shudder at the thought!
After two trips to the ER beginning Saturday morning, via ambulance mind you, they admitted her late last night to monitor her until the operation on Tuesday.
I keep teasing her that if she wanted attention this was not necessary ;-)
She is in high spirits, I told her to think of it as a vacation.
If you know my mom, she will have horrible cabin fever probably by the end of today, and will be tired of not doing things for herself very quickly. Although being served a meal sure sounds like a luxury right now to me, tee hee hee.
On another note, I've never considered her health an issue, hardly a blip on the radar, but she has definitely got my attention now! Love you mom!! I wish we could have stayed!
More on our trip later. We just got in late last night and I have major time change issues, so I'm going down for a nap!

oh and i forgot
Riordan is moving up to a big boy bed! We ordered it before we left for vaca.. still hasn't shipped yet, so I'm thinking it will be completely here by late next week. His bed is the same as Caden's so he will have it forever I hope!
We kept thinking we would buy bunk beds if we were having a boy and then they could all share a room. Well since we are not ;-) then we can just save the dough and get another full size bed, which is what sold us on this house in the first place. Their room is big enough to have two full size beds with their furniture.
Mattress will be here tomorrow so this will be interesting to keep them all away from it.
His matching guardrail came today and thought it was his bed. He was so super excited!!

A full day already
We are back! It's nice to be home, but sure didn't miss this heat! Man it's HOT!
This morning we went straight to Dr. Sudha for Riordan. He had a fever yesterday in the car, back up a few days and I took him off his antibiotic. I'm pretty sure he's allergic to penicillin. The minute I took him off, all red blotches on his face and around eyes cleared away. Dr. Sudha isn't convinced it was an allergy, but who wants to mess with that ;-) SO anywho, rapid strep test him and it's still positive so now we are starting a new antibiotic once it's filled at aggravating Walgreen's.
Seems their computer went down just in time to bill our insurance but not before they could fill it, so can't transfer it or give it back to me because they say insurance won't cover it. I say unbill me! They say they can't.. how convienent for them. Guess what, not going back there again.. Don't they realize we are a family of almost 6! I'm sure we've been paying someones paycheck LOL. If they had just called me to say don't come back to pick it up, but noooo we stayed at the grocery for an hour so we could pick it up and let me tell you an hour at the store with three children isn't fun.. we barely go for 30 mins these days.
Then they say, don't know when it will be ready, and we can't deliver it to you. Again, see ya! CVS here we come!
It must be incompetent day in Chandler, because at Fry's the employees just get my goose. I'm getting donuts and an employee, older lady mind you!, decides to literally go infront of me into the case I'm in and get her donut, and then has the gall to say "excuse YOU" not "me"!! I told her not to worry, I realized this is her world and we just live in it. And this is when we were having a great and fun day LOL. Oh well. We are home now, lunch has been eating, Teagie is down and the boys aren't far behind.
Oh and a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CATIE!!! We had to miss her party today for it being at nap time for everyone, and I can't handle three on my own at the bounce place. No one would have fun if we had attempted it. After all too, we would have had to back out with Riordan testing positive still with strep.
We had to cancel our playdate with the Camacho's tomorrow as well, since it won't be 24 hrs on meds, thank you Walgreen's.
So hopefully tomorrow night we can go and do something fun with the boys and Teagan.
We had such a great time in San Diego, the hotel pool was amazing. We had a kiddie pool that Riordan and Caden played in for hours the day before yesterday. For two boys who don't want to learn to swim you'd think they could how they played there. Everyone around us assumed they could swim too. No fear and would lay down in the water. Caden is ready to learn again. He kept begging to go in the big pool. Okay, spoiled here, the temp was 81 in the big pool. TOO cold for me when I'm used to 86 temp water ;-) So next week when we go to Atlanta we will become fish for sure.
I have two prayer requests for you guys. I have a very close friend back home who just lost her baby boy at 19 weeks. She knows who she is so if you could just keep her and her family in your prayers for healing and comfort. I can't wait to see you when Caden and I come next week. Love you!
Also, a friend here who's newborn is in the hospital with high fever and still don't know why. I love you guys!!

Greetings from San Diego!!
WOW!! What a wonderful, relaxing, yet full of adventure vacation we have had so far!
To start, Riordan can officially be considered potty trained!! Amazing, just a little over a week too! He made it the whole drive out here without a pull up on! He did have a small accident but it was so not his fault. He had to go so badly and it was over 10 miles til the next potty! I am so amazed and proud of him. He has truly just blossomed into such a sweet, intelligent, funny little boy! Still a bit impish, but that's Riordan!
On one of our stops for a side road pee pee break because we didn't want another accident, the back window got popped open but we didn't notice till we where on the highway and it wasn't until 15 miles later at a gas station that we noticed our swimsuit, change of clothes, and medicine bag fell out! I didn't want to go back, Mike insisted, I thought for sure it was it was picked up and he thought it would still be in the road. We were both kinda wrong. Some sweet person did pick it up, but put it to the side of the road on a little post!! We left a note with some money in it's place. Here our amazing favor really began.
We get to the hotel about 7 hours after a long, but not so bad drive (takes a little over 5 normally, but we had a lot of pee pee stops ;-). Little did I know, Mike asked if we could be upgraded. He used to be Diamond, but now Gold with Hilton, so we have a few privlidges still from all his travel from his job back in Atlanta. Now we had reserved a garden view standard room. We are walking to our room and I'm oblivious to what and where we are going. We walk in the room and my vision is instantly looking at the beach right outside our room! We got upgraded to what I had dreamed we could afford, the Lanai Room!!! There are only 11 of these rooms too! We have a porch with two very comfy lounge chairs, and then we walk right through a small patch of grass to the beach! I feel so spoiled and blessed all at the same time!! Wow for Mike for asking for an upgrade! Now I don't think I could ever go to a standard room here, knowing how incredible the Lanai room is LOL.
We hit the beach when we got here, and they all had a blast in the water. Until Caden got a sand flea up his shorts who decided to take a little nibble on his thigh. He was so upset, so we all came inside and be done for the night. Well we did have room service and take a quick walk on the walkway, I'm not sure what you call it, like a boardwalk on the beach, right in front of us, but concrete. Lots of people watching! We have had a bonfire in front of our room as well on the sand every nite we've been here. Oh and the best part is we have a direct view of the fireworks at Sea World!! No need to go back to watch them and man are they loud! We were all in bed already when they began and Mike and I both thought it was the people about us stomping around! LOL We were ready to complain and then I opened the curtains, it was beautiful!
We went to Sea World today and how I had forgotten how overcast it is in the morning on the West Coast with the Marine layer and the smog. It didn't burn off until 10:30, just in time for the Dolphin Show. We saw the sharks, manatees, sea lions get fed (how fun was that!), harbour seals, dolphins, we had a close encounter with the flamingos! they walked right up to the boys wow!, and then lunch with Shamu's friends! Again FAVOR, we literally had the best seat in the house if you ask me. We were right next to the pool and right were the biggest landing for the whales to come up on. The boys sat right next to the glass and were just beside themselves! As were Mike and I. By the way, they have killer mac and cheese there. The food wasn't horrible either ;-) I loved the caesar salad (all buffet) and tortellini.. Yay Terri! Caesar salad LOL.
They have a great play area fo the children. We visited it twice, an amazing boat, net crawl thing that covered over the entire play area, sand area, a toddler pit, this really cool water bed thing and more! I was so impressed and it was a great break from pushing strollers and letting them play. We were there an entire 5 hours then we came back to the hotel for naps. By the way, we got there right when it opened at 9 am, payed an extra 5 bucks for preferred parking (first 6 rows and we were on the 3rd), no one here hardly at 9 so we were able to see so much so fast!
After naps we hit the beach again, lots of sea shell collecting for Caden, Riordan playing in the sand and water, and Teagan just walking, walking, walking, walking, everywhere. Dinner and then we walked further up our path to a rockin' playground for a while. We are now waiting for fireworks to begin about 9:50!
Tomorrow we have NOTHING planned. I don't know if we will make it back to Sea World, we can go again with our tickets before we go home which is in two quick sleeps.
The weather has been heavenly, a huge break from the heat, and we are literally wearing jackets and pants early in the morning and after 6 in the evening. Not a smidge of humidity either ;-) Pics will be uploaded when we get home and find the cord, my never ending search!

Mike's Day
He's out on the other side of town, in Glendale. He decided to cut through a Safeway parking lot to get to an appointment that he was squeezing in. Much to his surprise, he was stopped by a cop and then notices all around him were cops with their guns drawn pointing at the grocery store.
Turns out a guy was robbing the bank inside and had a bomb supposedly. He is still stuck there and has been for over two hours!! They won't let him leave, mostly for the fear of detonating the bomb! Only in our world would this happen! Poor Mikey!
