The Day After the Rain

So we knew it snowed up in the mountains, however we thought the mountains starting in Flagstaff! These are the Superstition Mountains that are to the North and East of us. Our little mountains, The San Tans, are to the south and didn't get snow. This is an incredible sight to behold. Apparently, they do get a dusting every now and again but nothing like this.

Then this is our green belt near our house. This is how much is rained, you can't see the grass, much less the rock bed, notice the few rocks that were high enough. This is over a foot deep at least and deeper once you get up further. Amazing! Our backyard still has some standing water, but nothing like this. The desert is just amazing! We are so glad that we don't have to deal with dust for at least a week I would think!! YAY for allergies and asthma!
