She is our youngest one to have this much success so many days in a row and I am SO grateful, thankful, proud and excited to be out of diapers! Now to get out of the house during the day, because we potty train naked ;-)
This was a surprise to me really because for four weeks I have been sitting her on the big girl potty for mins to 1/2 hours at a time and nothing, ever. We sing "Twinkle Little Star" and "ABC's" and my joke would be I sing Twinkle if you give me tinkle, ha! She would get mad and demand me to sing still. Well on Friday, I was going through the bathroom cabinet and saw Caden's little potty. None of the older children like this and always had success with a seat on the big potty. Well I pull it out, she sees it and is intrigued. I tell her that it's her potty. She sits and less than 10 seconds, she GOES!! Hooray!! I cheered, clapped, hugged, spun her and she was laughing so loudly. BREAK THROUGH! She went all day on it and has never stopped!
The past two days, she tells us that she needs to go and has had just one pee accident a day. Poop is another issue though. She goes where she wants on that one... F-U-N. However, I like it better than what the older three did and that was hold it for days on end and be in pain and be scared LOL.
Today we had another breakthrough! She asked to go on the big girl potty, and we've tried it a few times and nothing of course. But I put her on it anyway, and she asked for her song, and I started to sing and she went! YAY!!! Maybe we are moving on and hopefully to poops on the potty! We will see.
I know it's the little things in life really for me, but like I say, the little things don't mean a lot, they mean everything!!
Speaking of days, I'm on day 10 of what is with out a doubt a sinus infection. I keep thinking it's getting better and then I have pain for a while and it goes away with tylenol. I didn't get in my run for training on Saturday because I couldn't breathe and can't imagine trying to accomplish 7 miles without oxygen, ha!
We went out to Peoria on Saturday to visit our family and swam and BBQ, thank you Uncle John! It was a great time! While we were out there, we were able to meet up with Tracy and pick up our CD and Photo Album from our family photo shoot! They are so beautiful! Our big prints should be here on Thursday ;-) I can't wait to see them!
This past week was busy and fun. We shot a video for Boot Camp Babes AZ and it's being edited now for the website. Can't wait to see it! We are opening up a new camp and new class times! It is so neat to be a part of the growth!
Mike was in San Diego for three days working a conference, when I was so sick, but I made it through and he was able to reward us with coming home earlier than planned on Friday! So grateful ;-)
Caden had a GREAT first week of school and is having so much fun! We have been alternating on taking lunch and buying it, according to what they are having and it's been working out well for us. Last year, I seemed so rushed to make him lunch, this year doing good. We will see how it goes when the 'twins' start which is in three weeks.
Riordan and Teagan can't stop talking about going to their new school! I hope that excitement gets them through their anxiety on the first day.
The girls start dance class this week! Not sure how Aislinn is going to do, but Teagan is ready! Which reminds me I need to get her tap shoes, I forgot to do it this past weekend! Just add it to my growing list for the week!
This Friday night we have a huge group of friends going to the Comedy Theatre. Should be a good time! We are doing it as a date night, to meet our friend's husband who is always in Iraq working. She wants him to see that we do exist LOL!
Saturday Caden has a birthday party and I have a baby shower to attend and then hopefully we can relax the rest of the weekend!
