Riordan's 1st day of school at Wee Blessing's

What a great day my brave 4 1/2 year old had! I could not have been more proud of him. While he was a bit anxious, he conquered his fears with a single bound and did everything expected of him AND with a smile on his face! I still tear up thinking about it and thinking how FAR this Prince has come in facing his challenges.

My friend puts it so beautifully, how blessed we are, trusted by God, to have the opportunity to learn from this amazing beautiful being, Riordan. He knew that we had the sensitivity and patience to learn and have insight to how his brain works and learn coping skills to help him get through simple day to day activities so he can have coping skills.

He has two teachers, Ms. Marty and Ms Lisa, they switch every other day, and he has already adjusted well to it. They are both GREAT teachers and he adores them both already. He drew a picture of Ms. Marty, at home, on his first day and decorated it with stickers. What was really cute, he even put glasses on her! He gets to see his teacher, Ms. Angela, from last year, because her son and nephew are in the same school as well, and I know this has a lot to do with his comfort level. He went right into his class on the first day, put his folder in the basket and sat criss-cross apple sauce on a heart on the rug! So impressive!!

We are looking into private piano lessons for him. Still need to give them a call!
