Aislinn

Aislinn is 4 lbs 14 oz! Just 2 oz off ;-) Not bad huh? Mommy knows best!
She is down in the 81 percentile now, measuring at 34 weeks to their 32 weeks and a day, a week bigger than her true due date.
We will do another u/s in four weeks to see where she is again.
She has a full head of hair already, isn't that so cool to see? She is still in position however already facing towards my back, rump in the air and her feet and knees are on my right side. It's been this way for weeks now, but confirmation of what she's doing. Explains why I never feel her under my rib cage too.
My OB said that she totally believes the mom when she says her baby feels big. So far I don't feel huge like Riordan, but definitely big. SHe predicts that if I go all 40 weeks she will be 8 1/2... I think she will be bigger.

Yes we are the throw up family

Caden had his appt today and afterwards we met Daddy, Riordan, and Teagan at Streamer's. Mommy has been dying for a Chocolate Marshmellow Milk Shake since I got pregnant and finally we were getting out to get it!
Why we even bother with dinner is beyond me. The children don't eat and scream for ice cream the entire time we are there!
So it was great, perfect, delictable (sp) and hit the spot.
Mike took all the zoo in the car home and I drove by myself.
I was a few cars behind him, talking to Marcie on the cell when I noticed he had pulled over and was pulling a child throwing up out of the car. At first I thought it was Riordan, but nope it was Teagan! I quickly pulled over, being that he would see me drive by if I tried to ignore them ;-), and ran over with the baby wipes (I had the diaper bag!)
She was soooo sick and we aren't sure why. Too much ice cream? Gag on a smartie? We will never know if it was food related.
So Caden starts gagging. Quickly got him out of the car before he started and put him in the Lexus to chill. Riordan, who didn't have a nap today, was fast asleep in his seat and clueless to all the commotion and smell for that matter.
Once she was done, we stripped her, put her in Caden's car seat (Caden had his booster in the Lexus, so he had a ride too) and threw the throw up one in the back. We were on Gilbert at Ocotillo, so I'm sure we were seen by a lot of people ;-)
An adventure, it never ends!
Now she is playing, after a nice warm bath, as if nothing ever happened.
Caden's visit with Ms. Joy went great. He played this really really fun game called Cariboo, I have a feeling we will be getting it when we are out again. It was quite educational and challenging, yet fun. Dealt with numbers, letter, colors, and shapes.
I'm off to go to the store and give my car a bath, it has throw up on the running board ;-)

More on Teagan

She cracks me up! And then drives me mad LOL!
She insists on throwing her diaper away at every changing. Who am I to argue? Except on ewww's, then I take them outside.
But her big thing is, "How many times can I say Mommy before she goes crazy?"
This has been her thing for a couple of weeks now, but driving up to Peoria, she said it seriously almost the entire way there.
I try and get her to change and say 'daddy', but nooooo, it has to be mommy.
So now I frustrate her. We have a little game. She says Mommy, I say Teagan. We do this back and forth 10 times and then I cut her off saying her name faster while she says mine. She will then growl at me and stop ;-) I need to get it on video, pretty hilarious.
Speaking of growling, she loves to tell the Knock Knock Dinosaur joke, has for months now. We got it from the Doodlebops.
She quacks like a duck to all animal sounds, and calls her sippee a 'ba-ba' all of a sudden.

We just got the boys their own Mack Truck from Cars, their own Lightning McQueen, and a few others of the characters. I made sure I got her Sallie. Thing is I should have gotten her Mack too. She wants to play with it all the time, like the boys. What a great thing this was. Our friend John has it and I've been waiting forever to get them. The boys have slept with them the last two nights, naps included. It's so hard having birthday's so close to Christmas. There is no in between to get gifts, but I try not to go crazy either. This was one thing that I felt they couldn't wait any longer on, since it's been a year now that they watch Cars atleast 2-3 times a week. And now it's a big hit again with all their characters.

This is the time of year that I prepare for costumes for Halloween, but I might get off without making but one purchase! Caden says he'd be Dash (2 years ago and costume still fits) and Riordan will be Pablo like Caden was last year. Just need to get a Minnie Costume for Teagan, or Ariel, how cute would that be?! I call Caden Prince Eric all the time and he gets embarrased because he has such a huge crush on Ariel. Depending on the weather will depend on if Aislinn gets a full costume. I have a pumpkin hat and orange onsie for back up.

Okay off to pack the snack bag for school, which by the way Caden still absolutly loves and is so into going Mon-Friday. Next year will be a full day!! Riordan is supposed to start now in September. It got pushed back becasue the building isn't finished being built. Good reason I say. So tentatively first day is Sept 5th. He's been asking this week when he's going and I say soon. That was a big thing for us to bribe him. Can't go to school if you don't go in the potty....

Still need to post pictures from Diego and a few other cuties...
Maybe tomorrow... Today is busy.

Back in the potty biz

Yep we have finished our 4th day of Riordan back going in the potty. All I can say is thankkkkkk youuuuuuu.
Nothing significant changed to get him to go back, he just looked at me Saturday morning and said he had to go ;-)
Only one accident in four days, yippee! He loves to go pee pee on the grass too LOL. Which he did a lot at Uncle John and Aunt Amy's house on Saturday evening. That was a fun time.
We got a very late start out of the gate, so we didn't get to their house until a quarter till 5. We even put them down early for naps, so we could get there by 4. But of course, the children decided to take longs naps and much need ones for all the energy they were going to use swimming. We were wonderful prunes when we got out of their fun and refreshing (once the aerator came on) pool! It's so hot that the water was heated up like bath water. Thannkkkkk youuuuuu for aerators! Their house is beautiful and so perfectly cozy. They just upgraded to a Honda SUV too! Congrats guys!
Oh and Friday nite at Fleming's was yummo.. got my Filet, my bearnaise sauce, my potatoes, and my chocolate lave cake! I can't wait to eat it ALL again LOL.
Sunday we completely and totally forgot to go to Ava's house for her 1st birthday after church! I was so sad to forget it, but thankfully her mommy forgave us. I just loveee this pregnancy brain. It was on both my calendars and we even talked about it that morning going to church. On the way home we hit Mickey D's and then took naps! I didn't remember until I was getting ready for Marcie's birthday dinner! YIKES!
This week is doctor appointments. I decided, I don't think I've posted any of this, to do speech therapy for Caden after a few weeks from his evaluation. She is pretty sure it's a developmental issue and that a few session would do great for him. She did give me the option of continuing to work with him at home, which is what I first decided. Well he had an extremely rough week 2 weeks ago, so bad in fact he broke my heart because he for the first time stopped saying a word and said he couldn't do it, and he even asked to go she Ms. Joy, our therapist. This past week though, he has had a lot less bumpy speech, so it may have just been a long week for him. Anywho, I'll be content to get this worked on before Aislinn comes. Our first real appointment is tomorrow after school.

I have the next weigh in on Thursday for Aislinn. See how big this nugget is! I'm convinced she is 5lbs easily.

My friend Kristi is expecting her fourth and is in full throttle morning sickness. Oh how she is handling it so much better than I did! She is still driving the boys in the morning. I'm ready for you to take a break! ;-)

My girls Kristi, Monica, and Marcie are planning a baby lunch/dinner for me on the 8th. Not sure on the details, but I did request nothing extravagent like favors, cake, balloons, etc. I just want to enjoy a last hurrah out with the girls before I live like a hermit with FOUR children LOL. They are so good to me, thank you girls!

I can't believe we leave for Maui in a week! Hurricane Flossie, is just missing the Big Island and is just causing a lot of big surf. I don't see anything significant forming in the Pacific, but I'm better at predicting in the Atlantic than here.

Teagan is doing just great. She is such a princess/diva/boss of the house. Her expressions just crack me up. She loves to go in the bathroom with Riordan and flush the toilet for him when he's done. Gets mad if she doesn't get to do it. She can say all of our names now, her favorite phrase is " I don't want to" It's clear as a bell and she got it from Riordan. Says it perfectly with emotion and hand movements.
Riordan has been saying Dag Nabbit, but it sounds like GD and the first time he did it, I was shocked. It wasn't until today, after a couple of days, that I figured out what he was saying. Okay, so we are working on the enunciation now. Thank you Backyardigans.

Mike cleaned out the gargage this past weekend, so well in fact that I can for the first time since our house in Acworth park in it!! What a huge difference it has been the past two days! It's still warm in there, but it's not beating us down, and I don't have to worry anymore about where the children are when loading and unloading. People just fly down our street. I want to put in my own speed bump in front of the house!

Everyone keeps saying that I will have to change to a MiniVan, and I think if I hear it one more time I may hurt them. Yes my hormones seem to be a bit raging these past few weeks. However, I'm exasperated from explaining how changing from a 7 passenger SUV with no cargo room, to a 7 passenger mini-van with hardly cargo room makes any sense? Our vacations are driving only, and no way can we fit all of our things for SIX people in a minivan! So for months now I have been researching the different types of SUV's with extended lengths, Used mind you, and think I'm set on the Yukon XL. Thing is, I won't be able to park in the gargage LOL. But I can do third seat with three passengers, captain's chairs for the second row and have cargo room for my triple, YES triple Stroller by Joovy, the Big Caboose. It's compatable with my car seat for Aislinn, a spot for Teagan and a spot to stand or sit for one of the boys. Great for cooler days to walk to the park! My double stroller will have to go in the front seat of our Ford until then, yeah doesn't fit in the little cargo holder with the third row up. But I will make due for another 7-8 months at the most. The price is great, in fact a used one is the same as the price of our new Ford when we bought it. So there, this is something I have researched since I got pregnant, in fact before hand too. I have looked at all my friends MiniVans, and not satisfied with the cargo room in the back or under the floor. You have to see how we pack to understand. And the triple stroller won't fit in the minivan! LOL If I were to get a minivan, because I'm not against them, It would be the Nissan Qwest. She is purty! So done there ;-)

And oh yes, pregnancy insomnia is bad tonite as well as my restless leg syndrome. So I may go and try and watch a movie, which will hopefully put me to sleep! We have the Da Vinci Code tivo'd and I'm been waiting forever to watch it.

Diego and more!

What a great time we had at Go Diego Go!! The ASU Gammage Theater was just a perfect and cozy location. However driving there, I finally saw the 'ghetto' of Tempe. I was shocked at how run down and shady the town looked, considering they have this beautiful River front area and expensive condos and stuff. Guess where we know where they are putting their money.
We arrived in ample time for a close parking spot, potty break, souvenier collecting and more!
Riordan by the way has relasped on potty training and I just don't know what to do. He has more than 4 accidents a day if he's in his underwear and shorts, so I've resorted to pull ups again and just so disappointed. But the weird thing is, when we were at Diego he was doing the potty dance 20 mins into the show, so in the aisle since it was nice and dark, I slipped on pull ups on him. Well he insisted on going to the potty in the bathroom, even though I kept saying go in the pull up. So I had to run him to there and thankfully the people we sold our tickets to watched Caden while we went and Caden was a big boy and so engrossed in the show, probably hardly noticed we left ;-) And then when we got home, Riordan goes potty in the pull up, I give up!
I have tried bribing him again, crying LOL, and making frequent visits, but he still goes in his undies and pullups. But thankfully so far, he still goes eww in the potty! Okay so that's been going on for almost 2 weeks now..
Diego's set was so impressive, and Riordan has developed a crush on Alicia, his sister. Dora was there along with Baby Jaguar, BoBo Brother's, Click, and Rescue Pack. Pics to be upload soon!
Week has been somewhat uneventful, except that Caden's school had a mock Lockdown today. They had a practice one yesterday, and he didn't want to go to school today and do it again. They have to shut off the lights, lock the doors, sit quietly, and when someone comes to knock on the door, they can't answer it or the school fails. The Police dept comes and does the official Mock Lockdown which they did today and gave all the kids stickers. ALL the schools including Elementary do this, and it's a good drill for them. Wow welcome to the new age of school drills. Forget your tornado/fire drill right?!
So for Caden's anxiety, we put a guitar pick, a special rock I got in Maine years ago on the beach ;-), a die, and a keychain calculator for his pockets. He only could 'play' with these items during the lockdown and not during the rest of the school day. I emailed his teacher to informing her of his anxiety. She thankfully had a flashlight and used her computer screen for light and it really seemed to help. He said he wasn't so scared today and Ms. Hansen praised him for being so brave.
It's tough to know when to push your child isn't it or when to let them have their way. I'm glad I had him face his fear though. His teach is so sweet and nuturing, had it been not that way, I would have let him stay home.
Most of you know I have cut hair for years, actually began doing it again at the beginning of the year thinking we were done for a while with children, but had to give it back up once I got sick and haven't taken it back up since then. Anyway, the children have a fasination with my water bottle. They will swipe it in an instant if it's out and squirt pretty much anything that gives them a good laugh. Well Caden decided to squirt down our bedroom TV yesterday with it, and it made it break. Yep, the buttons don't work anymore. Now the thing is, this TV is older than dirt. It was Mike's ex's TV, lines going across the screen and buzzed all the time. But we said we wouldn't replace it until it stopped working. Well THANK YOU CADEN!! He keeps apologizing for breaking it, but I keep telling him he did us a favor! We went out to Best Buy and got a cute little 22 inch Flat Screen and WOW what a difference it is now LOL. I can't believe we put up with that for so long! However, he knows that he will get in massive trouble if he decides to squirt that TV or the big Flat Screen.
We had our playgroup Monday at our friend Michelle's house, and then had our friend's the Camacho's over for lunch today.
Tomorrow night Mike and I have a date, hopefully to Fleming's.. Saturday we are off to the Malloy's to see their new house finally and Sunday night I have a birthday dinner party for my friend Marcie.
Mike is home late tonite, so I may take the kiddos up to Chick Fila to play. It's so hard during this heat for them to get exercise. But it is like being at home for Winter. And our Winter we can still play outside.

I've been forgetting to post

That my friend Rena is officially in remission after very aggressive chemo therapy treatment! After a bone marrow biopsy earlier this week, it came back negative for Leukemia!
Her immune system is still low so until that comes back up, then she can come home.
She will be doing a monthly trip to Texas for treatment as well. They are really making sure this cancer is not going to come back.
So thankful that she is doing so much better! Love you Rena!

Can you see the smoke from there?

The smoke up my rear from the V.P. of Caden's school? Lies lies lies I have received and you know I don't use that word losely and how I detest liars.
If I had a million dollars I would be in Private School and not worrying about how unwelcome the Administration of Basha High School has made us parents feel.
Two days in a row the gate has been locked for pick up and when I call, I get NO apology and the feeling I'm putting THEM out for trying to get in! Plus the fact that curbside pickup was supposed to go in place this week, but the V.P. doesn't recall having that conversation with me at all. Dude, she so doesn't know who she's dealing with does she, as Mike puts it.
This is how our conversation went today:

I asked her what was being done to put it in place and she goes, " I don't recall having a conversation with you implying that would happen." I say, "I'm sorry, I MUST have misunderstood you when you said, Maria on your team was the one who changed the idea of curbside pickup, and that you had received numerous complaints from the parents and that since it was only 2 days into school, you didn't want to do anything to change it that week, but would wait till this week. But again, I must have misunderstood that you were saying it would be in place."
She goes, " Well we don't have the staff to utilize this, nor extra aides, but I can see if we can pull one from somewhere, but I don't foresee you having curbside pickup, but maybe we can come up with another idea."
So I say, " A couple of parents have suggested us being able to us the side door from where we park and walk the children up to the door, with our other children able to stay in the car since we can see them, unlike having to walk around the side of the building." She said, "That could be a possibility, but they would have to see if it would disrupt the other classrooms."
I told her, that I don't know how I'm going to be able to walk all my children up to school, being that I carpool and I can't fit my double stroller in the car with my third row, so I will have two, instead of one, loose children back and forth 2 and under. And I'm not the only parent with multiple young children. I hate being 'that parent'. It's not sitting well with me :( I just wanted them to fix it on their own, without phone calls, but obviously they were just going to 'let it go as is'

Also, the fact that last week she was supposed to call me back with answers the day after our inital conversation and she said she didn't call because all my issues were addressed in a handout last week from the teacher. LIES!! The handout we got was only about parent volunteers in the classroom. SMOKE SMOKE SMOKE!

So I'm at a lose. I love his teacher, he loves going to school, is making a lot of new friends, I like the parents, (a lot of them DIVAS though LOL). So I'm really the only one suffering. Is this acceptable for a public school? I don't know being this is our first experience at it.

So I'm in need of a stiff drink. Although Maui is just THREE weeks away ;-)

Our week

So far has been pretty good!
We had a playdate at our friend Kelly's house yesterday morning with Ava, who is 11 months old and walking all over the place! She is so cute as Riordan puts it ;-) Her birthday party is coming in a few weeks and we are so excited to help her celebrate!
Today we had the St. Geme's come and play. It's always so nice to catch up with them. Our playdates are cut shorter though with picking Caden up, so I feel like it was time to go pretty soon after they got here :( But we will have a date with them again soon!
And we will see the Saturday at Go Diego Go! Kathleen was able to find us someone to buy our tickets! I so owe her lunch for that one!
The rest of the week is just layed back.. we will hit a few stores during the week before picking up Caden. With Mike gone every night until Saturday, my hands will be overflowing.
The Tripp family is coming over Sunday after naps for a family playdate! Now that we have opposite schedules and school for our second oldests not starting till Sept now, it's a challenge to see each other.
I'm not going to be able to do MOPS this year, with Caden out at 11 and the baby coming in October, it just isn't doable. And then with MOMS most of the events are at 10 or 10:30 which doesn't allow us to attend either with Cadens school schedule. So hopefully next year when he's in school full-time we can enjoy it again.
So lots of playdates instead ;-)

My mom and Paul Stanley

Who'd ever think they would have something in common?! ;-) Paul Stanley by the way is a member of the band KISS.
They both though have tachycardia, if you heard about Paul Stanley this weekend. Mom had to get the shot that he got, twice in 12 hours! to stop her heart and restart it to stop beating so fast.
She by the way, is doing great on her medication, had a great vacation in PCB (Panama City Beach for you Westerners and Northerners) and is rescheduled for her procedure to carterized the malfunction circuit in her heart on Aug 17th. That will give her the rest of the weekend to recoup at home.

On another note, Ratatouille with the boys went okay. Riordan decided he wanted to frequent the bathroom, I kid you not, 10 times. I really think he had to go ewww as we call it, but once we would make it there the urge would be gone.
So didn't see much of the second part of the movie, but I know we will get in on DVD or TIVO it on Pay Per View.
They were so cute though with their kids combo of popcorn, fruit snack, and a coke and I gave them a helping of Milk Duds for their popcorn as well. A trick my sister Susan got me hooked onto since I was a teenager, mix it in with the popcorn and it's like carmel corn if the popcorn is hot enough.
We then hit Target afterwards and got Caden new shoes. He has jumped from an 11 to a 13 in 3 months! They both got matching LIghtening McQueen sneakers that light up, that they wore to church today. I can tell Teagan wants some light up shoes, because she keeps stomping her feet to see her shoes like they do. Also got a fabulous deal on some new polos and t-shirts for Caden as well for school. This everyday school thing is new for us for clothing! I try to 'dress for success' with him. And leave the play clothes for when he gets home. He likes it because it makes him feel spiffy.
Mike is watching, surprise surprise, the Sox, the chlidren are asleep, so I think I will nap a moment as well!

Caden wears his watch everyday so he knows when school is almost over and that I'm waiting to pick him up ;-)

We made it through the first week!

Helloooooo! Thank you to those concerned with me for not posting for over a week! What a week it has been!
We are dealing with 60-70% humidity, which is like 100% back home, so it has really been kicking my rear!
Plus this cold is still lingering!
Caden's first day of school went pretty good! As he walked in, he was trying so hard not to lose it, and he did cry a little in his room, but when I picked him up, he on his own said goodbye to his teacher, and I knew we were good to go. Everyday since then had been great and Kristi and I even started carpooling on Wednesday instead of waiting till next week! That has been a huge help for both of us! Cashton likes a morning nap, so she does drop off for the Caden's and I pick up! Teagan likes to sleep in so it really has been great!
The week went great and we are getting into a routine quickly with breakfast in the morning for all, then Caden off to school. After pick up we all eat sandwiches, YES sandwiches! If you know my children they don't ever like to eat them, but this week we did! Then a 30 mins on the t.v. and then we all go down for a nap. Then playtime around the house while I cook dinner. So no time to sit down this week at all for me to update the blog :(
I had contacted the school about issues that didn't seem to be getting resolved or just getting "I don't know's" still and after the first day of school I found it unacceptable. I didn't want to be 'that mom', but we as a lot of us have been disappointed in the way Basha High School has handled Kindersteps. Seems we are getting some progress now, but curbside pickup isn't in place yet, which I was told on Wednesday would be by next week. The bright shining star is Ms. Hansen their teacher. She has been teaching for 7 years and is just so warm, nuturing, and patient, and funny from what Caden tells me ;-) So the admin department needs work is all and with about the whole class of us, they don't stand a chance to let things fall to the wayside anymore.
I got a night out with Kristi too on Wednesday, where we went to the Coach store to upgrade my handbag the girls got me to the fabulous Multi-Functioning / Diaper bag! After 4 babies, I think I deserve it! It's just beautiful! Then we hit Kona for amazing sushi, prepared at the counter and the chef custom made me a shrimp tempura roll with cream cheese and avocado and my mouth is still watering from it! And I'm craving Kristi's crab crunch roll too, holy moly the second time around on that one worked for me!
My sister made it back from their adventure Thursday afternoon, so we got Patsy Grimaldi's for dinner, seriously the best pizza ever and hugely competitive with Fellini's from Atlanta for my southener's. They all had a great time and her pictures were just so amazing. I can't wait till our zoo is older to do things like that! So great that AZ has so much to offer for outdoor things, especially during the summer when it's so blazing hot. This humidity has cut on the oven feel, our temps have stayed in the 90's and below, but I don't like the feeling of needing a shower either, so I don't like either of it LOL. Speaking of shower!
We have been getting a ton of rain and thunderstorms! Yesterday we got hit by a big one at 5pm. It scared little Teagan though. It literally rained buckets, cats, dogs, and anything else for a good 30 mins. A good soaking as my dad would call it.
Yesterday too, I dont' know if it was because of the storm, I was experiencing light contractions again and cramping, so I got into bed right after dinner at 5:30 with a big bottle of water, and fell asleep at 6:30! I didn't get out of bed until 6:30 this morning! LOL It was a much needed rest, because I didn't feel too rested this morning either with a headache.
I'm taking the boys to see 'Ratatouille' finally at the 10:10 showing at our new theater. They are ready to leave now! Mike and Teagan will have a morning to themselves. He says they are going out ;-)
So an easy weekend for us, nothing else planned besides church. I have just a couple of pictures of Caden from his first day at school, he really didn't want his picture taken. Didn't want to aggravate him at all on his first day, but his second day no problem ;-)
This week will be a tough one. Mike is off to Monterey of all places Thurs-Saturday. I have a movie night with Kristi on Tuesday to see 'No Reservations'. Friday I have my OB appt, and Saturday the boys and I are going to see "Go Diego Go!" Mike had this trip come up after so I'm still trying to sell our tickets for he and Teagan .... Stubhub by Monday, here I come!
Mike and Caden are out getting us breakfast, I'm so hungry .... so off to get a quick snack until then!

TGIF!

Well I still have this horrible cold. It's lingering and the morning and the middle of the night is still rough. Where the heck does all this junk come from?! I'm on day NINE for crying out loud! My ears are still full of fluid too. So I guess it's a doctor's visit if it's not improving by this weekend.
Speaking of this weekend, we have the de Antonio invasion ;-) My sister and her kids are here now just for the weekend. Was going to be a whole week, but she has changed her mind on spending time up in the Grand Canyon and such. So we just have Sat, Sun, and a little of Monday with them. Even Monday nothing really.
It's Caden's first day of BIG BOY school!! School everyday, for the rest of his 'life' until college! It is so baffling to me!
It's a short day though from 8:15-11:00. We meet his teacher and check out his classroom today. He's so excited and he gets to use his very new backpack that his wonderful teachers gave him in May. This year around school thing is taking a moment to get used to as well, but October break will be upon us soon!
Teagan is still teething horribly. She's my first one to actually get the horrible diaper rash/runny nose from teething her molars. I feel soooo bad for her, but she is on the last one and any moment now it should cut through and then a good 6 months till her eye teeth come in I'm guessing on her. She is so full of 'words' and so busy and likes to play play play play.
Last night we all watched Mulan (for the 100th time) before bedtime and she actually sat on my lap the entire time to watch it. I was impressed, plus digging the cuddle time with our little daddy's girl.
Riordan is doing great in his big boy bed. He's so cute in there! We had a guard rail for it, but I was going to take it back until MIke told me yesterday he fell out of bed yesterday morning.. ummmm keeping it and it's going up today for JIC. He is still doing so great with big boy himself and just working now on getting him to go to the potty by himself without help. His open house is in two weeks and then he starts in three weeks. We had a playdate this week with his women from his class. He's so cute when he names them off.
Aislinn is really making me uncomfortable. I'm at the point where I can't eat a regular meal and I have to cut in half at the least to be able to feel comfortable. I'm sleeping horribly now too, well her and the cold. I already feel like she's up in my lungs which scares me with like Riordan being big. But hopefully she will drop soon and I can get some breathing room again. I'm pretty sure she is not in position because I don't get kicked in the ribs yet. But she's a mover and a shaker still. I can't wait to see what she looks like! I have my "30" week appt in two weeks from today and then the appt after that is the u/s to see where she is at weight wise.
Tonite we are getting the house ready for the invasion and then next weekend we have a quite one!! Thank goodness, we need a break!

HOORAY FOR RAIN

It is pouring right now! Yippee! We haven't had rain in 100 and some odd days!
It was a dust storm that caught us at Walmart. Mad rush to the car and careful drive home, in time to get inside just as the rain started in our neighborhood. It's still pouring. LOVE IT! Makes me miss home!
Hopefully it will cool the night off....

Some pics especially for you Sox fans!

Top is when Caden and I were in the ATL. Riordan and Teagan destroyed all the labeling I had done on their playroom, humpfh!
Caden and Teagan playing, Teagan taking a snooze, and then our friend Tracy brought back Red Sox shirts for the three of them on her trip back home. Caden and Teagan are wearing theirs today, but Riordan is being stubborn. Who Riordan? Nooooooo.

My birthday!

Well even though I have a severe head and chest cold I made it through my birthday with all day bed rest and dinner at nite both Saturday and Sunday.
MIke and I went to Mastro's Saturday night and it was just absolutely perfect. The food was superb, got my bone in Filet, gorgonzola mac and cheese and TWO desserts ;-) Even our server was very personable and on top of it all. The ambiance was great, a one man band playing tunes of Sinatra, James Tayloer, to even Kenny Chesney. We had a lovely time and found a new wine that we really like. A full-bodied Pinot Noir by Foley. Going to have to try that one again.
Mike and the children got me a beautiful Coach handbag! It is so perfect for date nites, thank you so much!
Then Sunday, my actual birthday, my girls took me to Kona for scrumptious sushi. The shrimp tempura was perfect and as were the california rolls. I tried the crab crunch and it was pretty darn yummy too! The girls splurged on me with a Coach hand bag! LOL It's matches my coach shoes perfectly that I got earlier this year, my treat for being so ill for so long. I decided I didn't need two small handbags, so the girls bag will be upgraded to the Tote/Diaper bag! Heck after 4 children, I deserve a Coach Diaper bag right?! We had such a great night eating, talking, and our very good friend Rena was very much on our hearts and we toasted to her! We love you Rena!! It wasn't the same without you sweetie.
Today my wonderful amazing housekeepers come, so we are going to lay low, do early naps. and Cox comes today to switch over our phone service to them.
Looking forward to a small break in the heat and possible rain all this week. I pray it doesn't pass us by.

WOW Sleep!

It's truly the best medicine. I went to be at 5:30 after dinner with Mike and the children, woke up at 11, went back to bed and got up a little before 8. I feel a lot better. Sore throat seems to be gone this morning! So not strep ;-) Nose and ears still full of fluid though, so pretty sure this is a energy sucking cold. Thank God for Benadryl and Tylenol too during pregnancy, because without them I would not be in good shape.
Thank you Mike for all that sleep! Now I feel like I can make it to dinner tonite and enjoy our evening out ;-)
So here's a funny for you! I can't remember if I had mentioned Mike got me replaced diamond earrings for our anniversary because one got lost while I was on my bed rest. Mike was able to 'turn in' the one we did have to help pay for the new set. Well Caden came to me yesterday with the lost earring! He said he found it on Teagan's new bed, Riordan's old one! One of the boys, must have been holding onto it for this long, because we moved the bed, stripped it, new bedding and such so it couldn't have just been there the whole time. It will be a mystery always. Now to what do I want to get now with the 'turn in' tee hee hee!
Laundry is starting to back up and the house is cluttered so that is my plan today to get it back in order.. but I won't over do it either ... Mastro's here I come!

Aislinn Update

She weighs 2 1/2 lbs and is in the 89%!! She is big girl and I noticed this a few weeks ago, so it was no surprise.
We are doing another ultrasound before Hawaii to see how big she is again.
Caden was so cute looking at her on the u/s. He was so impressed and in awe.
Just pray that my body goes into labor on it's own and I don't need a jumpstart please!
I'm am very very tired today again, this cold is kicking my arse. Waiting on the bed so we GO to bed ;-)

Oh and I keep forgetting!!

Mike officially finished at 16th out of 26th for our trip to Maui!! Woohoo! Our flight is already booked too! I can't wait, yet sad because we have never together left the children. And I can't drink the whole time to forget LOL. But it will be beautiful and wonderful. We leave the 22nd of Aug through the 26th.
Aunt Jen YOU ROCK!
And MIkey YOU ROCK TOO!! Now what to do about next year? LOL
Caden has open house for his school next Friday. And then we start on the 23rd!
I have come down with a cold, horrible sore throat, ears filling with fluid and draining. I think this is why I've been so tired the last couple of days.
Caden and I are off to see Aislinn on the U/S. I'm supposed to have my Glucose screening today too, but they haven't mentioned it. Well you know I will. I'm prepared ;-)
Supposed to take the boys to the movies today, but I'm so beat, didn't sleep well on top of not feeling good.
Riordan's mattress is here and we set it up last night, his bed comes today! And we moved his old bed to Teagan's room! I put the girls new blankets and pillows on everything from Hot Tootsies and it looks perfect in the room. Pics to follow soon.
OH
And mom is home and rescheduled for Aug or Sept some time. Good thing is they did all the prep work while they were in there on the wrong side so it shouldn't take so long. They feel confident they have regulated her with the medication, after days in the hospital, so that's why they are ok with waiting... Mom had to get back to work ;-) Strong as an ox I tell ya!
Found out this week one of my good friend out here has Leukemia and it has thrown me for a loop. One day she felt perfectly fine, the next day she was in pain all over and could hardly keep her eyes open. Her white cell count was pretty mucn nonexistant so she was immediately put into isolation. They have caught it extremely early and are very positive that she will beat it. Please pray for her, rapid recovery, and most importantly her immune system back up so she can come home!

Life in Atlanta

Was good. I was blessed with a break in weather again. The humidity factor was pretty low and the temp was in the 80's. Perfect pool weather. Saturday rained all day long.
We got two pool days and lots of time with our family. Caden and his cousins played so much, that he asked tearfully if Daddy, Teagan, and Riordan could come 'to this town' instead of us flying home.
Mom's heart issue started the night of the 4th, during fireworks, and finally she went to her primary doc Saturday morning.
She had an episode her too when she came to help us in March when I was stuck in the bed.
Still waiting on word to when her surgery will be. They will go in the left side which means they have to penetrate the heart, leaving a small pinpoint hole that they said would heal up perfectly. I don't know, but I'm starting to get a little freaked out.
Pinpoints in the heart??
Riordan was angry at me for a couple of days while I was gone, wouldn't talk to me on the phone. Totally understand that issue. Caden did that last year when I just took Teagan home.
We got to see our good friend's Diana and Camden. The boys always have played so well together and that day was no different. We got to see the progress on the addition to their home, and it's going to look amazing!! I can't wait to see the final results!
I didn't want to leave, we just sat and talked for a few hours. Plus it was overcast outside, so it made her very cozy home, just that more cozy!! Caden kept asking when we left, if we could set up another playdate.
We made it to my fav Mexican and to RuSan's to eat, but yet again did not make it Georgia Grill. I'm going to have to have their food shipped to us in dry ice!
We also got a quick visit in to the Train Museum with MOM of all people after she was released on Saturday. They had given her no restrictions... I just hope that quick walk around the musuem had nothing to do with her 'relapse'.
Flying for Caden was pretty stressful for taking off. He would get get so emotional, because of being scared and missing Daddy at the same time. Once we got off the ground both times he was perfectly fine. He just gets himself so worked up, just like before his shots. I was so proud of him for being so brave. We watched DVDs, played Leapster, and colored for the 3 1/2 hours and a few trips to the potty. I think he thought it was cool, yet the noise freaked him out. Of course.
Our week here is just absolutely hectic. I can't catch up on the computer yet and wanted to get our trip info down.
Yesterday, Riordan had a re-check for strep, rapid came up negative and waiting on the culture. While we were there, Dr. Sudha for the first time noticed Caden's studder (most of you know this has been at my attention for a year exactly now) She agrees with me it's a mind racing issue, but has sent us for an evaluation none the less. We are scheduled next Tuesday in the afternoon at Fiesta Therapy in Awhautukee. Some days are worse than others for him and somedays, he doesn't do it at all.
After the appointment, we had to go to the grocery, desperately, and then back home for quick lunch and for Kate to come so I could get my birthday hair done!
Today we are cleaning still, since Monday, and we have Carson Luse coming over for a playdate. Then when Mike gets home I'm off to get a mattress for Riordan's new big boy bed that comes on Friday! Sear's totally messed up this time, by postponing the delivery 4 times! so I just completely cancelled it. Hopefully the mattress store will be able to deliver by Friday, or we will just rent a truck from Home Depot. I think I may sneak out for a much need birthday pedicure too. Oh yes, it's my birthday Sunday! I will be glorious 34!!
Tomorrow, the boys have dentist appointments, then we have a playdate with the Jackson's and I'm taking a meal to my friend Liz from MOPS, she had baby Hayley a couple of weeks ago.
Friday, this is getting nuts, I have my 28 week u/s and I'm taking Caden, bed delivery and I'm taking the boys to see "Ratatouille". They are so excited because it's our new movie theater and we've been waiting for the first appropiate movie for them!
Saturday night Mike is taking me to Mastro's for dinner, the really one off of Pinnacle Peak so I can get my bone in Filet, my mouth is just watering like a cave girl! And we get to have that amazing Seared Ahi Tuna again! Man that was good stuff!
Sunday we have church and then some of my girls have arranged a birthday dinner at Kona for me. So sweet and I can't wait to spend some good girl time! How fun to go out with them on my birthday too! And I get to eat the yummy Shrimp Tempura that my friend Dani turned me on to. I am craving that again, good sign again of appetite in full effect ;-)
So that's my week, it's absolutely nuts isn't it?! I can't wait for next week, it's a lot slower, but then we are invaded by my sister and her three kids for almost a week and during Caden's first week at real public school, Kindersteps!
Pray for us! The older boys are so impressionable on Caden and I have been breaking bad habits and potty mouth all week from him and I don't know how I will take another week of it! It's exasperating how quickly Caden picked it up. I feel like he's constantly in time out and us having talks of what he should be doing and saying.
Off to do laundry, make beds and vacuum! Oh and make my famouse chicken salads with praline pecans for Penny ;-)

Update

Well my mom's surgery was not successful.
Somehow they went in on the wrong side of the heart and the issue ending up being on the other side. They didn't want to try and continue to do it today being it was pretty late in the day. So now she is being rescheduled!!
Thank you everyone for your continued prayers and good thoughts! I really appreciated it! Oh and she has to stay hospitalized still until they do the surgery! Holy Moly, she's not going to be happy about that ;-)

My Mom

I have a prayer request from you all!
As you know, I travel to Atlanta frequently because of my dad not able to travel and I always worry about his health.
Well this time, life caught us all off guard and the issue was mom.
She is in the hospital awaiting minor surgery on her heart to correct a valve that is making her heart beat rapidly and I mean 170-190 beats per minute at resting when it should be in the 70's. She is high priority for the surgery since the medication they give her isn't enough to help correct it until August. If she continues with the effects, then she could damage her heart and then that gets scary to think what could happen next. I shudder at the thought!
After two trips to the ER beginning Saturday morning, via ambulance mind you, they admitted her late last night to monitor her until the operation on Tuesday.
I keep teasing her that if she wanted attention this was not necessary ;-)
She is in high spirits, I told her to think of it as a vacation.
If you know my mom, she will have horrible cabin fever probably by the end of today, and will be tired of not doing things for herself very quickly. Although being served a meal sure sounds like a luxury right now to me, tee hee hee.
On another note, I've never considered her health an issue, hardly a blip on the radar, but she has definitely got my attention now! Love you mom!! I wish we could have stayed!
More on our trip later. We just got in late last night and I have major time change issues, so I'm going down for a nap!

oh and i forgot

Riordan is moving up to a big boy bed! We ordered it before we left for vaca.. still hasn't shipped yet, so I'm thinking it will be completely here by late next week. His bed is the same as Caden's so he will have it forever I hope!
We kept thinking we would buy bunk beds if we were having a boy and then they could all share a room. Well since we are not ;-) then we can just save the dough and get another full size bed, which is what sold us on this house in the first place. Their room is big enough to have two full size beds with their furniture.
Mattress will be here tomorrow so this will be interesting to keep them all away from it.
His matching guardrail came today and thought it was his bed. He was so super excited!!

A full day already

We are back! It's nice to be home, but sure didn't miss this heat! Man it's HOT!
This morning we went straight to Dr. Sudha for Riordan. He had a fever yesterday in the car, back up a few days and I took him off his antibiotic. I'm pretty sure he's allergic to penicillin. The minute I took him off, all red blotches on his face and around eyes cleared away. Dr. Sudha isn't convinced it was an allergy, but who wants to mess with that ;-) SO anywho, rapid strep test him and it's still positive so now we are starting a new antibiotic once it's filled at aggravating Walgreen's.
Seems their computer went down just in time to bill our insurance but not before they could fill it, so can't transfer it or give it back to me because they say insurance won't cover it. I say unbill me! They say they can't.. how convienent for them. Guess what, not going back there again.. Don't they realize we are a family of almost 6! I'm sure we've been paying someones paycheck LOL. If they had just called me to say don't come back to pick it up, but noooo we stayed at the grocery for an hour so we could pick it up and let me tell you an hour at the store with three children isn't fun.. we barely go for 30 mins these days.
Then they say, don't know when it will be ready, and we can't deliver it to you. Again, see ya! CVS here we come!
It must be incompetent day in Chandler, because at Fry's the employees just get my goose. I'm getting donuts and an employee, older lady mind you!, decides to literally go infront of me into the case I'm in and get her donut, and then has the gall to say "excuse YOU" not "me"!! I told her not to worry, I realized this is her world and we just live in it. And this is when we were having a great and fun day LOL. Oh well. We are home now, lunch has been eating, Teagie is down and the boys aren't far behind.

Oh and a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CATIE!!! We had to miss her party today for it being at nap time for everyone, and I can't handle three on my own at the bounce place. No one would have fun if we had attempted it. After all too, we would have had to back out with Riordan testing positive still with strep.

We had to cancel our playdate with the Camacho's tomorrow as well, since it won't be 24 hrs on meds, thank you Walgreen's.
So hopefully tomorrow night we can go and do something fun with the boys and Teagan.

We had such a great time in San Diego, the hotel pool was amazing. We had a kiddie pool that Riordan and Caden played in for hours the day before yesterday. For two boys who don't want to learn to swim you'd think they could how they played there. Everyone around us assumed they could swim too. No fear and would lay down in the water. Caden is ready to learn again. He kept begging to go in the big pool. Okay, spoiled here, the temp was 81 in the big pool. TOO cold for me when I'm used to 86 temp water ;-) So next week when we go to Atlanta we will become fish for sure.

I have two prayer requests for you guys. I have a very close friend back home who just lost her baby boy at 19 weeks. She knows who she is so if you could just keep her and her family in your prayers for healing and comfort. I can't wait to see you when Caden and I come next week. Love you!
Also, a friend here who's newborn is in the hospital with high fever and still don't know why. I love you guys!!

Last change on name

We finally have come to the end of changes on her name. Spelling is Aislinn, two n's, it just looks a lot better to us ;-) Can't wait to meet you baby girl!

Greetings from San Diego!!

WOW!! What a wonderful, relaxing, yet full of adventure vacation we have had so far!
To start, Riordan can officially be considered potty trained!! Amazing, just a little over a week too! He made it the whole drive out here without a pull up on! He did have a small accident but it was so not his fault. He had to go so badly and it was over 10 miles til the next potty! I am so amazed and proud of him. He has truly just blossomed into such a sweet, intelligent, funny little boy! Still a bit impish, but that's Riordan!
On one of our stops for a side road pee pee break because we didn't want another accident, the back window got popped open but we didn't notice till we where on the highway and it wasn't until 15 miles later at a gas station that we noticed our swimsuit, change of clothes, and medicine bag fell out! I didn't want to go back, Mike insisted, I thought for sure it was it was picked up and he thought it would still be in the road. We were both kinda wrong. Some sweet person did pick it up, but put it to the side of the road on a little post!! We left a note with some money in it's place. Here our amazing favor really began.
We get to the hotel about 7 hours after a long, but not so bad drive (takes a little over 5 normally, but we had a lot of pee pee stops ;-). Little did I know, Mike asked if we could be upgraded. He used to be Diamond, but now Gold with Hilton, so we have a few privlidges still from all his travel from his job back in Atlanta. Now we had reserved a garden view standard room. We are walking to our room and I'm oblivious to what and where we are going. We walk in the room and my vision is instantly looking at the beach right outside our room! We got upgraded to what I had dreamed we could afford, the Lanai Room!!! There are only 11 of these rooms too! We have a porch with two very comfy lounge chairs, and then we walk right through a small patch of grass to the beach! I feel so spoiled and blessed all at the same time!! Wow for Mike for asking for an upgrade! Now I don't think I could ever go to a standard room here, knowing how incredible the Lanai room is LOL.
We hit the beach when we got here, and they all had a blast in the water. Until Caden got a sand flea up his shorts who decided to take a little nibble on his thigh. He was so upset, so we all came inside and be done for the night. Well we did have room service and take a quick walk on the walkway, I'm not sure what you call it, like a boardwalk on the beach, right in front of us, but concrete. Lots of people watching! We have had a bonfire in front of our room as well on the sand every nite we've been here. Oh and the best part is we have a direct view of the fireworks at Sea World!! No need to go back to watch them and man are they loud! We were all in bed already when they began and Mike and I both thought it was the people about us stomping around! LOL We were ready to complain and then I opened the curtains, it was beautiful!
We went to Sea World today and how I had forgotten how overcast it is in the morning on the West Coast with the Marine layer and the smog. It didn't burn off until 10:30, just in time for the Dolphin Show. We saw the sharks, manatees, sea lions get fed (how fun was that!), harbour seals, dolphins, we had a close encounter with the flamingos! they walked right up to the boys wow!, and then lunch with Shamu's friends! Again FAVOR, we literally had the best seat in the house if you ask me. We were right next to the pool and right were the biggest landing for the whales to come up on. The boys sat right next to the glass and were just beside themselves! As were Mike and I. By the way, they have killer mac and cheese there. The food wasn't horrible either ;-) I loved the caesar salad (all buffet) and tortellini.. Yay Terri! Caesar salad LOL.
They have a great play area fo the children. We visited it twice, an amazing boat, net crawl thing that covered over the entire play area, sand area, a toddler pit, this really cool water bed thing and more! I was so impressed and it was a great break from pushing strollers and letting them play. We were there an entire 5 hours then we came back to the hotel for naps. By the way, we got there right when it opened at 9 am, payed an extra 5 bucks for preferred parking (first 6 rows and we were on the 3rd), no one here hardly at 9 so we were able to see so much so fast!
After naps we hit the beach again, lots of sea shell collecting for Caden, Riordan playing in the sand and water, and Teagan just walking, walking, walking, walking, everywhere. Dinner and then we walked further up our path to a rockin' playground for a while. We are now waiting for fireworks to begin about 9:50!
Tomorrow we have NOTHING planned. I don't know if we will make it back to Sea World, we can go again with our tickets before we go home which is in two quick sleeps.
The weather has been heavenly, a huge break from the heat, and we are literally wearing jackets and pants early in the morning and after 6 in the evening. Not a smidge of humidity either ;-) Pics will be uploaded when we get home and find the cord, my never ending search!

Mike's Day

He's out on the other side of town, in Glendale. He decided to cut through a Safeway parking lot to get to an appointment that he was squeezing in. Much to his surprise, he was stopped by a cop and then notices all around him were cops with their guns drawn pointing at the grocery store.
Turns out a guy was robbing the bank inside and had a bomb supposedly. He is still stuck there and has been for over two hours!! They won't let him leave, mostly for the fear of detonating the bomb! Only in our world would this happen! Poor Mikey!
http://www.abc15.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=d724d068-2087-4210-8f1b-c4a2d8fcc3d9

Teagan and more

by the way weighs a WHOOPING 25 lbs and is 32 inches tall! She's solid like the boys, not fluffy like all the girls I know!
Caden is at 41 and Riordan is at 38! Holy SMOKES!
She did amazing for her shots yesterday, didn't cry on the first one and barely cried 5 secs on the second and last one.
Caden was surprised, and then I asked if he thought he could be brave like that if he had to get another one. I was greeted with a shrilling " I don't wanna get a shot!" But of course, who does? But soon we will be getting our flu shots in October! Seemed to work this past winter for us, considering no one got sick at all until last week and it was practically summer!

Two more Sleeps!

I can't wait for San Diego! We so need a vacation and a break from the heat!
We leave early Sunday morning for a quick drive, about 5 or so hours to the hotel!
We will just lay low that night and then hit Sea World first thing in the morning on Monday!
We have lunch planned with Shamu that day, so much fun ;-)
All we want to do is beach, pool, a little dinner out, and Sea World. Not going to be a tourist on this visit.
This is our ONLY vacation with the children this year so I just want it to be completely relaxing. Maui is going to be busy I can already tell.
Off to continue on our list of things to bring! I can't wait for Riordan and Teagan to see the Ocean!

We also can't wait to see our friends, Emily, Tyler, and Terri this afternoon to play!!

Shoe fetishes

Yep, Teagan has a big one! Now that she is a walker and walks well in shoes, she has to have a pair on at all times. She's never worn them until she could walk really so it's quite funny. Thing is Riordan has always had one too. Always has a pair on in the house. Caden is like me, loves them, but prefers bare feet at home.
Riordan has really been amazing! After his fever broke Monday, he took off his diaper and continued on with potty training! We've gone out twiced too and come back dry as a bone. Wow this is turning out a lot easier than I thought now that he doesn't mind nudity at home ;-)
Caden is beside himself with excitement for Shamu and is continuously counting down the sleeps till we leave.
Packing shouldn't be too bad. Beachwear and Shamu wear ;-)
Mike has had a busy week, a late one last night, and hopefully no more of that the rest of the week! We have been laying low besides our trip to the grocery store yesterday and Target today. Teagan has her well check tomorrow, and we have a playdate with the Anasagasti's Friday! Can't wait to see them!
That's it for us, taking it easy, cause it's going to be an outrageously busy July.

Nothing like a guilt trip ;-)

I got him to take it... I cried saying how sad I was he wouldn't take his medicine, so he took it! LOL
Usually reverse psychology works perfect on him, but this required dramatics and thank God he took it all.
He is so hot with fever! It just breaks my heart. I hate 'tricking' him but you gotta do what you gotta do and I think you all know that given the circumstances you probably would have done the same knowing that he doesn't like to see his mommy cry ;-)

Riordan

Has strep. It has hit him the hardest. I can't get him to take his meds either :( We went in early this morning and on Motrin he had 101 temp.. He is on fire now and laying in our bed with his back to "Cars"
He was a cuddle bug last night with me, and woke up at 4:30 am throwing up. He gets both symptoms of his siblings!
So say a little prayer that he will let me get this first round in so he can start feeling like my cute little boy!
Needless to say potty training is put on hold ... of course!!

Terri Clark - Dirty Girl

This is Mike and I's good friend Adam! Way to go Adam!! Although, I'm not sure about seeing sexy images of him! He's like a brother!!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to Mikey!! The children and I made him his gift yesterday and Caden can't keep a secret (don't know where he gets it) so once daddy got home from his spa day, he got it. It's all the childrens handprints on one piece of paper with a cute poem. Then we gave him all his cards too! Caden is just too cute.
Today the boys are a broken record saying over and over "Happy Father's Day!"
I went out and got Mike a coffee and muffin before church and now he's planted in front of the TV where he should be. He got up early with Teagan, I just couldn't make my body move this morning! Our friends, the Walshes, were to come over this afternoon, but little Ava has a fever bless her heart so they are going to lay low. We will definitely get a new date on the calendar soon my friend and no worries ;-) If I had a buck for everytime we've had to cancel I would have a nice pair of new Coach sandals tee hee hee!!
SO more tv in store for Mike, maybe a swim at our neighbors and I think I will make some pork chops and brown rice with salad. Going to search for a new recipe to try out on us. Epicurious.com here I come!

AND HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO MY DADDY AND MIKE'S DAD!!!
Boy do I miss my dad and I can't wait for July 4th to see him! It can't come any quicker!!

And of course Happy Father's Day to all the great Dad's out there, hope you are all having a day that you deserve and are enjoying.

DInner last night was great. It was actually at the Ocean Club, not "the" Mastro's. They don't have bone in filets there, so I sufffered through a regular filet ;-) I love great service and our server was outstanding. He is from Boston, Newton, of all places, lived in Maui for 12 years and just a great guy. He gave us things to do while we were in Maui in AUGUST :-) Just 12 mores days to go till the contest is over for Maui and we are 14th! So back to dinner... It's located in Keirland Shopping Center which I hadn't been to yet and wasn't all that impressed because of the crazy drivers not caring about pedistrians. It's not a place I will bringing the kids anytime soon for that reason only. I had shrimp, ahi tuna, crab legs, steak, taters, and asparagus! Chocolate cake for dessert. Okay I'm a huge food critic. I only liked my seafood, which was absolutely outstanding, hence the name Ocean Club. The steak tasted freezer burned to me! I'm sure it's whatever they use to marinate, because today that taste was completely gone. The taters were 'loaded' and mashed and really not good and the hollandaise for the asparagus was quite bland. The cake, average at best. And many of you know this, I'm very picky when it comes to mint and it was sitting in a sauce of mint. Yucko for me, totally ruined it. I should have gotten the warm butter cake they highly recommended! LOL
BUT it was a great night, with great company ;-), and again service can always make a bad meal good.
They own City Hall which is were we went last year, and that was phenomal food.
Riordan is doing a great job going potty! He is so cute! He doesn't fight being naked anymore and has had 2 accidents in three days. I pray that at the end of this in 6 weeks, he will be a pro! It will be a nice break to have just one in diapers until October!!
Teagan is a walker for sure now. This week was true test of shoes and her learning to walk around. Now all she wants to do is walk and today she officially moved up in to the walkers class at church. Her ladies in the nursery were broken hearted to see her go, but rest assured they will have yet another Malloy to snuggle on soon.
Caden is Caden. Just full of boundless energy. He lastest is constantly asking me how to spell something. It's gotten a bit tiring though. He's not writing it down, just wants to know! Pretty cute though. He's gotten a lot of freckles lately which we have lost track of naming because there are so many. He is feeling a lot better (as Teagan) and his cough is sounding a lot better as well.
I FINALLY feel normal! No headaches well hardly, no spit cup, no dehydration, I feel almost 100% as I can being pregnant!! It's nice to feel this way. Of course now I'm starting to be limited in mobility, so it helps to feel better so it's not quite as frustrating. I'm just so excited to be rid of that darn cup. Still an issue but most of the time I don't feel ill from it...
Okay well Mike is in the kitchen and he won't get out, cleaning, I really want to give him a day, so I'm going to go kick him out!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY AGAIN!

The Diagnosis is!

Strep! For both of them!
Caden got sick in the middle of the night again, and just bile again. Sure sign of strep for him, he never gets a fever with it.
Teagan still has a fever so I 'pushed' my way in to our wonderful doctor's office this morning. I loaded the zoo up at 7:45 and kept calling as I drove there and they saw us at 8:30!
Caden has been wheezing a little and had junk in his chest since we had our first dust storm over a week ago. So she also put him on Orapred for his chest and doing treatments for the next couple of days. So both of them have already started their antibiotics!
We are still going to go to VBS tonite for our last night. It's the performance and all the children get VBS 'bucks' to use in the VBS store and Caden has been looking forward to it all week! He has already exposed anyone to this and tonite they won't be touching like they have all week with picking on each other and playing games. Just sit in their respective chair, go up on stage, and come back down! ;-) If he had tuberculosis then of course we wouldn't expose anyone, but strep is on rampage here as it is and he is being treated... I wouldn't send him off by himself so since I'm with him I can keep an eye on him...
Tomorrow Mike has a spa morning at Dolce for Father's day!
I actually got out yesterday and got a pedicure and then I hit the mall for lunch and some anniversary gifts for Mike which I of course gave to him right when I got home! We are bad like that we just can't wait ;-) He got some nice shirts and shorts from Tommy Bahama and I bought him the Platinum Chanel cologne. I haven't let him wear it literally since I was first pregnant with Caden. I was in the process of finding him one right before I got pregnant with Aislin! It smells so great and very sophisticated!! I'm just so hypersenstive to pretty much everything, but I know he's been wanting to wear cologne for a long time now... I really can tolerate it!
I'm so exhausted. I can't wait for naptime! Only 1 1/2 hours to go!

Uh Oh

Teagan has hit 103, keeping close eye on her, alternating tylenol and motrin, but it's really not bringing it down.. pretty sure we are going in tomorrow.. thinking ear infection.. slight runny nose, and her skin is just so inflamed my poor baby girl and boy am i getting a lot of cuddle time with her..
Caden and I made it to VBS tonite and after being there for an hour he got violently ill. It was so forceful that he had little blood spots for the pressure of it all. Medic said what I thought, to not worry since it was so little and was so forceful, only if it happened again to go to ER, plus I did this with Aislin so quite experienced with the appearance and technique of vomiting LOL Such the pro at it ;-) Hasn't gotten sick again though and was able to eat toast and drink Gatorade.
Riordan, no sign of anything and still going potty in the potty!
Keep our babies in your prayers. I pray for a rest filled night for them all.

Fever hits us

I had my OB appt this morning and it went great! I had such a nice talk with my doctor and we are doing an u/s next appt to see what Aislin is weighing in at and to good a better picture of her heart. This entire pregnancy up to 20 weeks I had only gained 4 pounds! This is just like all my others but a little on the extreme side. However these past four weeks are exactly like my others at this point. I have gained another 7 pounds ;-) I have definitely gotten my appetite back and there isn't a food anymore that I'm turned off to. So 11 pounds at 24 weeks now. Still not bad, considering I never get a second to really sit down to eat. I mentioned it to my doc and she laughed and said she wasn't concerned at all, not that I was, but I know they have a reputation for wanting you to chart your food ;-) if they think you are gaining too much.
So I get home about 9 and Teagan had just woken up. Her body was on fire. 102.1 temp. And all she wants to do is cuddle. I have a moment to post, because she is eating the rest of my biscuit from Chick Fila. I'm so sad because we won't get to have our playdate with the Anasagasti's today. She's really really needy in fact she's crying right now so I must go. I hope it's just a virus. The flu is starting to go around here this week. Lost one of my VBS children to it last night and a mom of one of my kids has it too.
Third day of potty training going great for Riordan! He's in pants right now, he really doesn't like to be without them so I'm hoping he will still know when to go...

Hump day~ tee hee hee

I love that term for Wednesday! So surely does it fit too!
This morning we went to our friend's the St. Geme's and played in the sprinklers and did slip and slide. So much fun and just really enjoy spending time with them! John has an amazing collection of "Cars". I think we are going to have to get Mac, because it was a hit and such a neat toy!
I'm on my second day of real REAL potty training with Riordan and it's going really well! I'm doing the naked technique I did with Caden. Riordan would prefer to be clothed but we have accidents and pull ups make him think he still has a diaper on and I don't have time nor the patience to ask him every minute if he needs to go. He just came to get me to tell me he needed to go and we got both! His rewards are stickers for pee pee and gum or lollipop for eww. I'm hoping after of week of consistancy with this we can venture out without a pull-up!
Two more days of VBS and then we have our performance on Friday. I think we have to go on stage? This will be interesting. One of the songs they just introduced is a bit too complicated for us I think, so we have the back up of "jump for jesus" which is Caden's favorite anyway from Sunday School.
I have my OB appt tomorrow morning, and then we have a playdate with the Anasagasti's tomorrow afternoon! Saturday Mike is getting a spa day for Father's Day again at Dolce, then we go to the St. Geme's to see a friends art show that I missed when I was ill. AND then that night, being it's our FIVE YEAR wedding anniversary ( I still can't believe it) we are going to Maestro's. We had reservations around Valentine's Day but I just couldn't fathom eating a steak. I can't wait to eat one now! And maybe some crab legs! Yee Haw I can't wait to eat some yummy food! Mike's gift was Keith Urban concert, he had really wanted to go and I kept saying no. But I got him tickets as you know anyway!
Sunday we have our friend's the Walshes coming over and Kelly and I are feeding the boys Patsy Grimaldi's pizza for Father's Day. Just perfect. We can't wait to spend time with them and play with Ava.
I can barely keep my eyes open. The children are watching "Over the Hedge". About to put them all down for a nice afternoon nap so I can rest as well! My phone returns are backing up so forgive me if I haven't called you back. This has been a rough week energy wise.

24 hours!

It's been that long since I used my cup! Now I'm not saying the issue is gone, however, I can ingest it and it isn't making me ill.
I first tried Friday night for the concert, but after 40 mins I couldn't take it anymore. Then Sunday night, it was too hectic with VBS and I was free of it for about 2 hours and then used it again.
Yesterday morning I woke up and after an hour stopped using it and haven't gone back!
Let me tell you I feel SO FREE!! Now I don't have to worry about dehydration as much, the back of my throat isn't constantly parched and painful dry, and my hands are free free free!

Teagan is having a rough morning. She's been up all of an hour and I put her back down and she didn't fight me.. once she is up again, we will all four 1/2 be going to the grocery store.. we are out of milk and everything else for that matter... an easy day todayl Then VBS tonite again.. is it Friday yet? ;-)

IT'S A....

GIRL FOR AUNT AMY AND UNCLE JOHN!!!

We are so excited for them and oh what fun this is going to be! I guess for sure now all the boys clothes that I had will have to wait until the next time for them ;-)
Now let the name game begin, as if it already hasn't since they got married~ tee hee hee.. those Malloy boys know how to drive us nutzo on that!

I need toothpicks!

I can barely keep my eyes open! Mike let me sleep in till after 8 this morning and I could sleep longer!
Last night was the first night of VBS and for someone who has barely moved at all during this pregnancy, it has kicked her behind. In two hours I moved 7 Pre-K children to 4 different locations. Lots of standing, lots of chasing down, LOTS LOTS of wanting to pull my hair out. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better night with obeying, but all in all it was fun and the children really had a great time. I have till Friday for this, Friday being a performance though. The children are so smart and amazing and have picked up on their song with motions so fast already!! They are going to be awesome!
Yesterday before I went, this may have something to do with my exhaustion, is I went looking for something special to have them wear so I could tell them apart from other groups. Then I hit Old Navy, didnt find anything I really wanted... Came home, quick shower and off I went early to help out with whatever I could and that was entering new registrations in the computer.
Saturday night, I took Riordan and Teagan to the mall and we were there almost a full 3 hours minus 15 mins! We had an early dinner at the Wildflower Cafe', then we just strolled literally around the mall. By the time we were done shopping I took them to play upstairs. I have to say, they were a slice of pie of be with! I realize now that because Caden can voice his concerns/thoughts/wants, that he is really the 'trouble maker'! The only issue I had was near the end and Teagan wanting to leave the play area, laugh at me having to chase her, and then the moment I put her down, her going for the exit again. So we promptly left after that. Took a stop at the puppy store and Riordan was in love with them all.
Driving home I decided to stop at this little place called Chick Fila ;-) and while sitting in drive-thru I noticed my ID and Debit card were not in my wallet. I racked my brain and remembered that I was at Nordstrom Cafe' last and that's where I left it. I called them and was told that Customer Service already had them safe and sound! So I waited until Sunday after church to go get them. SO back to the mall we went. Hit Friday's first for lunch and then to the mall for a stroll, got my licensce, and then hit the play area.. it really all makes sense now why I am so flippin tired. I never stopped moving till 9:30 last night.
Oh and did anyone catch the series finale of the Soprano's? Hated it.... could have done without the last one... I know their point was for us to think what would happen next, but after all the show has done, that was a cop out.

Keith Urban

What a great concert! He is such an amazing performer and so gifted!! He played every imaginable instrument!! A simple concert in the grand scheme of things, but so perfect it didnt matter. At one point the whole drum team for ASU was on stage and it sent chill bumps up and down my arms. We left at encore, just couldn't imagine what he had left to sing! He was very candid about his sobriety and he is so humble and thankful for his life.
The Wrecker's opened up for him and what a SNORE!!! I'm so disappointed in Michelle Branch. I once was a huge fan of hers when it was just her performing way back when she started. Now it seems she is trying to be someone she's not or maybe when she started she was? And all of a sudden she has a very syrupy redneck accent that I have never heard during interviews with Leno. Is it possible to call someone a sell out because modern country is so popular and she is trying to make it anyway she can? I seriously could have fallen asleep and/or have gone home when they were performing.
Oh and pretty neat is we sat near Jordin Sparks, winner of American Idol. Quite a line formed to get pictures and autographs with her and she was very sweet and accomodated a lot of fans. After about a good 40 mins of doing this, she finally moved to the middle of her group from the aisle seat. She looks completely different to me in person.. Must be all that makeup ;-) But she she was beautiful still as it was without all the glamour.
We got home at midnight last night and I didn't fall asleep until after 1 am. Caden was up when we got home and was a bit wheezy. We had a mighty dust storm here on Wednesday, he's allergies started up on Thursday from it and so last night he was in a bit of pain. Two shots of his albuterol teddy bear chamber and he was ready to go back to bed.
Mike and the boys are off to birthday party. There is no way I can do it. I'm so exhausted and a bit cranky and hungry. Teagan woke up really early today too, so she's down for a morning nap. When she gets up I think we may go have lunch together. I can't wait till we can go get pedicures together! Still trying to figure out what to do with R and T tonite. Shopping? ;-) or swimming at our neighbors again who wonderfully are letting us use there pool while they are out of town again!

A fun day

Today we met our friends Jami, Liz, and Gina from MOPS at Way to Play Cafe'. Got there early and we were the first ones there!
The boys and Teagan played hard and for THREE hours! Caden is still asleep and naps were at about 12:30 pm. They all played so nicely. It did get swamped, but it seemed to thin out fast. Next week we are going to try and meet up at the Mesa Art Museum. We haven't been there since we went with the Marshes before Teagan was born? Or did I have her? I can't remember LOL. It's been that long though!
Tonite I have a movie date with my friend Kristi. We are going to go see Mr. Brooks. I can't wait to see it, I love movies that make me think. Especially since I've been feeling so not challenged lately!
Tomorrow we go to the Hamilton's for a playdate in the morning and then Mike and I are off to Keith Urban. He will just have to wave hello to Sox :( Oh and Tracy I promise the tickets are being forwarded.. I keep telling Mike to send them or just forward them to me ;-) We haven't forgotten!! I'm so glad you get to go!
Caden is super excited to go Saturday's events, birthday party and the Sox game. I think I'm going to stay back with Teagan Saturday morning for Andrew's birthday party. I just can't do the heat and it's an outdoor party... With water stations, but that won't cool this whale of a body down tee hee hee.

Forgetfulness

Yeah, it's just bad.
I forgot that Saturday we actually DID do something and that was have breakfast at the Chandler Airport with the zoo and then went to Walmart for necessities and Caden had a huge meltdown there. He's been on meltdown after the other this week and cant figure out for the life of me why. We took just about every single priviledge away on Saturday and it we still heard whining, crying, complaining, irrational behavior. **sigh** It seems to be getting better today so far...finally
AND our playdate with the Anasagasti's isn't until next Thursday! I guess I just can't wait to see them!
I had to cancel our pd with the Lown's today... a horrible pregnancy issue that I just can't go into details with, but let's just say it's brutal. So, I'm hoping I can still do our pd tomorrow... waiting on a prescription and hoping I will be back to my somewhat regular self. I'm tired of having a constant issue.
Oh but good news! My friend Kathleen, so sweet had bought me every flavor of Vit A water and I have slowly been trying each one. Like Fruit Punch, but holy smokes I had the lemonade last night and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It doens't have the feel of water at all, it's quenching, and doesn't aggravate my heartburn/deterioted esphogahus. I need a new one of those by time this is over.
So I'm off to make lunch for the zoo. I got A LOT of laundry done yesterday!!! Made a huge dent in it. I haven't been able to do laundry at all, smell reason... just so hypersensitive, but someone keeps ruining my wonderful new maternity clothes and we can't afford to replace them ;-) I was looking so cute there for about a week, now I'm back to the old yucky bulky clothes... *sigh*

Teagan

she started walking on the hardwoods yesterday! up and down the hallway she went! and was cracking herself up ;-)
she still crawls for the majority of the time, but that was her ultimate barrier, once she ran out of carpet she'd hit the floor..

Ahhhhh

What a great weekend! I'm still a little tired but it was so great!
Friday night we met the Tripp's for an impromptu dinner at Hon Machi..party of 12 anyone?! LOL Okay 11 1/2 but it was a funny site! All the children did super because they were so involved with the chef who really outdid himself. He did fire for them at least 10 times!
Saturday we just lounged at home and did nothing! That night I had a girls night at Macayo's to celebrate two friend's birthday's. We started at 8 and I was sure I wouldn't make it to 10, being that my body revolts, but time flew by and it was 11:30! Holy smokes! I had to get out of there so I could wake up for church the next morning! LOL
So I made it home by 12 am and was feeling pretty rotten. The rest of the girls went to some bar, rode a bull and got home at 2:45!! Oh how I just don't miss that at this moment ;-) It was a great time, full of laughter and tears, the girls really liked their gifts, and it was nice to just be out.
Sunday I got up but was soooo tired and made it to church.. and then the rest of the day, we just lounged! I did go to Target by myself. Mike is out of town today and back tomorrow night. New Mexico. We have Logan coming over for a playdate today so his mom can sleep, eat, run errands, or whatever her heart desires. And then Flora! comes at 1:30 to clean the house! Yippeee! I really wished I could have her every week. Having the surface clean helps me get the deep down clutter that's in closets and drawers.
Tomorrow we have a playdate with our friend's the Lown's, Wednesday still waiting to hear back from our friend's the Randall's, Thursday we have the Anasagasti's in the afternoon, and Friday the Hamilton's... and their BIG WATER SLIDE! Woo hoo!
Friday night Mike and I have a date to Keith Urban and the Sox are in town. So he's taking Caden for a guys night on Saturday and going early to see if they can snag a few autograph's. Saturday morning with have Andrew German's birthday party who is turning 4!! They will have a bounce house and tons of water play outside at their house. I dont know how I'm going to make it since I don't do the outdoors if I'm not in a pool these days. I severly dehydrate since I have all odds against me as it is. Sunday night starts VBS for Caden and it runs until Friday which is a performance! I can't wait to see what they will be doing, but I do get a good sneak peek since I'm his Small Group Leader which means I will be taking them to each activity every night and primarily responsible for getting them back to their parents.
SO it's a busy week when I sit and look at it, but it will be a fun fast one spending good quality time with our friends!

I can't believe it's Friday!

How fast this week has flown by and we didn't do much of anything!
We were supposed to go swimming at friend's houses on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday we cancelled because Riordan and Teagan need their own adult. Wednesday, just as we were getting ready, Teagan just all of a sudden threw up all over her and I. It was pretty sour and it happened for no reason so I didn't want to chance us being outside in the heat in a pool.
So we spend those two days just hanging around the house. Wednesday I cleaned out the pantry! What a huge accomplishment that was and I told those who disorganize it will not be allowed to eat from there ever again. Well I was on a roll, so I hit the playroom which was in awful shape. My friend Terri would be proud. I pulled out my label maker and redid the drawers with labels (someone pulled them off) and reorganized, wiped down and threw out miss match toys! It looks great!! We still have too many toys!
Yesterday I got my hair done! It had been over 15 weeks and let me tell you I was looking bad ;-) I'm so happy with the results!!
It was a relaxing day for me yesterday. When I got home it was time for the kiddos to take naps. Mike was home before they woke up and then I had my book club meeting last night, back at the mall at Wildflower Cafe'.
I haven't been able to make one, so this was great to get out and a test to how I do staying out past 8 pm. We had such a great time, my girls from my MOPS "Pink" table. Four of the seven of us are pregnant! And guess what, so far three of us are having girls! How funny is that! Jami and Liz are due in about 2 weeks, then me, and Gina is 9 weeks along due New Years Eve. We won't be surprised if it's a girl! I haven't laughed so long like that and had such intimate conversations in awhile. It was great to learn about these women and what makes them tick and likewise.
I was feeling pretty ill by the time I got home which was about 10 pm.
Today we have a playdate with the St. Geme's at Chick Fil A at 9 am, which I need to get ready for. 9 am there is so perfect. There is hardly anyone there and I can keep a good eye on the boys and actually talk. Not doing anything tonite and tomorrow night I have a joint birthday party for some friends at Macayo's. Sunday hopefully we are doing family dinner with Amy and John!
I hate how far away they are moving in July, but I'm so thrilled for them at the same time!
Okay I'm off, Caden is already ready and wearing his new hat that daddy got him Monday at the mall. A Red Sox hat. Riordan got a Braves hat. My children have large noggins!! I always feel bad for those who give them hats for gifts because they are always way too small. The boys are in ADULT SMALLS!! FOUR AND TWO! They have the exact same size heads... Teagan is already in 2-3T's for hats. Anyway, they look absolutely adorable and love wearing them! I'm thinking because they don't hurt because they fit ;-) They like to be just like their daddy!
